Or is that too bright maybe? Maybe dark blue? ...Hm. Yeah you're right, warm colors might be better." Capella hummed as he stared at himself in the bathroom mirror. Like every weekday, the blonde was up early so that he could make it to his classes on time, but with today being one of those good days were he could actually make out figures and colors with the right light, he'd been stuck in the bathroom just staring at himself and pulling gently at his hair. "Ma! ...Mom! MA!!" After a bit of shuffling around in the other room, Capella stared as the door opened, the black hair of his mother being the first thing he noticed. "Did you have to yell? You knew I was in the other room." "More important question! Can I dye my hair?" "Even more important question! Can you hurry up and get ready?" "That--" "We're not talking about this right now, Capella." This caused the boy shut his mouth almost immediately. She never called him by his full name unless he was in trouble or she was stressed out about something. "Honestly, with the news about Club Aether and that fire, I wish you could just stay home or come with me to go and pick up Toasty from the vet. You said you had an exam, yes? The faster you get ready means the faster you leave which means the faster you come back home, so hurry up, please." She...she had a point, Capella admitted internally as he gave the shorter woman an exasperated sigh then a short nod and followed her out of the bathroom before heading into his room to get dressed. The boy wasn't really the type to pay attention to the news, mostly because he always felt so removed from it. Bad things happened to people every day. Sooner or later, it's gets to a point where it's almost hard to really care for what's going on around the area or even the world. Aside from his eye disease, nothing particularly bad has happened to Capella, so it was hard to be really scared or stressed about the events going on so close to home. Nothing bad could happen to him, so there's nothing he needed to be particularly afraid of...right? So he simply did as he was told and got himself dressed. Putting on his favorite long sleeved shirt (one that was made out of two different fabrics, solid gray on the left and red flannel on the right) for good luck, jeans, and black converse, of course he contemplated wearing a hat to cover up his unruly head, settling for a black beanie. Stumbling over to get his walking stick and putting on his backpack, Capella quietly made his way into the living and towards the door. This would have been the time that kissed his mother goodbye and all that jazz, but after the little scolding he got a few minutes ago for a mostly innocent question, his mood had effectively dropped. Already having breakfast prior to heading to the bathroom to freshen up, the blonde expertly unclasps his walking stick and opened the front door to head out. "I'm going to school." "No wacky colors..." The strange statement had the boy almost trip over himself, only halfway out the door at that point. "Uh..." He trailed, not sure how to respond. "What did you just say?" "No wacky colors...and be careful out there, okay?" A look of surprise was quickly replaced with an excitable smile before saluting and hurrying out of the door.
