The only time I ever had detention was because the whole class was punished. Something to do with gum, and no one came forward so the teacher gave the entire class detention. This was in middle school too.

Actually, nearly everytime I've been handed some sort of punishment, either at school or at work, has been because I was part of [i]that[/i] group.
