Dobrynya would make it a point to always act in a gentlemanly and polite way, even towards his enemies, going so far to even extend his trust and word to a dragon by forming a non aggression pact. Despite his abilities he was not one to believe that he was always to be victorious, however he did not fear death and made sure that he gave it his all in battle so that he knew if he were to fall, then surely there would have been nothing more than he could have done. A man who wishes good fortune to evil, Dobrynya takes no joy in what he does but must take action all the same. There was very few regrets that Dobrynya had about his life, if there was anything in particular it would have been allowing his birth into a peasant family to define him, for out of a sense of loyalty and honour he stopped himself from chasing after his love, the Princess Zabava who he fought so hard to save. This decision was made out of a great sense of loyalty that Dobrynya held, to his land and his people. A peasant could not marry royalty, for that would take nothing less than a miracle. Bio: As a child, no one could have predicted that Dobrynya would have became the hero of legend that he would one day grow up to be. That was no one except his mother. While Dobrynya went about his daily life she began to have premonitions, of her son meeting his untimely end through various disastrous means. At first she shook these visions off as mere delusions, as nightmare. But they continued, until his mother finally decided that she had to warn her son. As authoritatively as she could she forbade her son from ever doing four things no matter what. These were; travelling to the Saracen Mountains, trampling baby dragons, rescuing Russian captives, and bathing in the Puchai River. This all, of course, only perplexed Dobrynya. For he had no reason to do any of these things and in fact they never would have entered his mind if not for his mother. That would be until he began to hear a voice, coming from the heavens themself. The voice told him to travel to the Puchai River and to bathe in its waters, this of course went against what his mother told him. It pained him and his mother both, but to deny the heavens was something too grevious of a sin for either of them to consider seriously. And so he did as the voice told him to, even if he was riding to his own death there was nothing he could do, for the heavens had decided it to be so. As he bathed in the waters he tried his best to relax, to prepare himself for whatever to come. But he would soon come to find, that was simply impossible. For who could have ever imagined that the Great Dragon Zmey Gorynych would descend upon the River to attack the unarmed and defenseless Dobrynya. A man who was nothing of importance and had no reason to believe he ever was. Perhaps the encounter drove him insane, as one would think any sane man who found themselves face to face with such a creature would be shaken to the core with fear. But courage welled up inside Dobrynya and with the voice of the heavens guiding him he did battle with the dragon, following the voices guidance and putting every fibre of his being into his battle. Surely if he were to die now it would be a glorious death. But that was not what happened. Dobrynya overcame the Great Dragon and as he was about to end its life the beat cried out for mercy. Dobrynya did not consider himself a particularly good willed person, but to extend mercy to such a creature surely showed that the extent of his trust was far past approaching foolishness. As soon as he disengaged the Great Dragon cursed him and made it’s escape. After his encounter at the Puchai River the heavenly voice instructed Dobrynya to ride to Kiev, where he would be made a Bogatyr and serve the royal family there. During his time there he grew close to the Princess Zabava, and the two of them fell deeply in love. However it was one that they would never be able to express freely to each other due to Dobrynyas station of birth. This was something that Dobrynya forced himself to ignore to the best of his abilities, always making sure that he was not alone with the princess, or at least was certain that he would carry out his duties and nothing more. Dobrynya would regularly visit his mother back home, however on one occasion where he was away from Kiev the voice of the heavens again spoke to Dobrynya, telling him that the Great Dragon that he faced before had assaulted Kiev, and carried off the Princess Zabava with him. With the spear that was gifted to him by the Prince Vladmir, and the whip and horse that was given to him by his mother, he followed the guidance of the heavenly voice and made his way to the Saracen Mountains where the dragon made its lair. On the way however Dobrynya, guided by the heavenly voice, freed all the russian captives from the dragons kin that he could, killing all of them on his way. As well as making sure that he trampled upon the babes of these dragons. Even Though these were beasts that did not understand neither honour or mercy, it pained Dobrynya to carry out these acts, but after all he was carrying out the will of the heavens themselves. As the voice of the heavens finally brought him to the Saracen Mountains, he was once again met face to face with the Great Dragon, this time along with the remainder of its kin. For this battle he dismounted from his horse, allowing it to run back home to his mother. For he fully expected for this battle these to be his final moments. But still he did not falter even once, his iron will forced his body forward to meet the evil beasts for three days and three nights, neither side was able to gain any ground and so the lone human warrior found himself in a battle of attrition with these dragons. But even so, it was still a battle. Dobrynya would not step back even once, and continued his onslaught with the heavenly voice spurring him on at every moment, telling him that victory was near. It only took three more hours until the battle was concluded. With the only one left standing at the Saracen Mountains being Dobrynya, with his spear pierced through the heart of the Great Dragon as the rest of them lay dead on the ground. However this was not the end, the blood of these creatures only continued to poor out of their bodies, creating a pool that entrapped the one who slew them. For three more days Dobrynya was forced to save himself from drowning without a single moment of rest. And Dobrynya did this, as the heavenly voice kept telling him to hold on for just a little longer. Eventually the voice spoke to Dobrynya an incantation. Afterwards he threw his spear into the ground, piercing the land below him and spoke allowed the holy incantation. The blood cleared, and the bodies of the fallen dragons whittled away until Dobrynya was truly the last one there. Picking up his spear once more his work here was finally over. With the heavenly voice guiding him he found the Princess Zabava and returned her to Kiev, he would continue to serve by her side for the remainder of his life. Refusing to stop until either victory was his or he collapsed from exhaustion. Even after he slew the dragon and its kin his battle for life was not over. For three more days and nights, the same length of the battle itself, he found himself trapped in the blood of his fallen enemies as it stained the land. But still, Dobrynya did not give in. Revelation: C A Skill to "hear the voice of heavens" and take optimum action; a Skill equivalent to Instinct, a sixth sense regarding battles. However, 'Revelation' accommodates all matters related to the achievement of a goal (for instance, choosing the most suitable path while traveling). The voice of the heavens spoke to Dobrynya throughout his life, revealing to him the path to victory in battle and what was needed to be done save his land. The most famous example of this was above the Saracen Mountains, where the voice told him the conditions that had to be met to finally overcome the family of dragons that had seemingly caught him in a stalemate. Afterwards the voice bestowed upon him a holy incantation, one that would aid him in making sure that the dragons would not terrorize the land ever again. Noble Phantasm: ???
