Zachaeus let out an exhausted sigh as he finished his preperations. It had taken a good many hours, but he'd finally managed to put the city into a lockdown state with extra shifts of guards at every gate leading into the place. He'd also taken the time to train new guards to replace the one's that were lost during the attack earlier in the day. Sitting back in his throne, Zachaeus pinched to bridge of his nose as he considered what to do next. The city was secure, the mess had been cleared, and new guards had been trained so there wasn't much left for him to worry about at the moment besides future attacks from hunters and possibly the aftermath of Ulreks schemes....Zachaeus's eyes widened as the realization that Edward wasn't back yet sunk in. Quickly getting to his feet, the vampire king called for several of his servants and ordered them to mobilize armed search parties to send out into the surrounding lands. He'd already lost some of his men and people. He would not lose Edward.
