Name: Jack Ryder Age: 19 Job: MAX FIRE Vajra Pilot, Combat Engineer Personality: Jack is a man caught between two extremes: "Grim Mecha Pilot" and "Utter Geek." On the one hand, he viciously hates the monsters that the Earth created, wanting nothing more than to end this damn war, avenge his dead family and friends, and get some normality back in his life. On the other, he is a massive fan of superhero media and nerd culture in general, and thus is still rather excited to hop into the Vajra and help Prometheon kick ass. In fact, he's kinda sore about being passed up to serve on the Prometheon, if only because he'd much rather be in the giant robot than pilot its spherical sidekick. Nonetheless, intellectually he knows he should count his blessings, considering that the Vajra is literally the next-best thing to being on Prometheon itself. Despite his analytical skills in combat, he sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him, but he always does the right thing when it counts. He has a strong will, absolutely determined to survive to the end of this war and hopefully stop the monsters at their source. He has a habit of getting restless, fidgeting and pacing and generally tending to move unnecessarily. He's also a massive glutton, though thankfully he has a fast enough metabolism that he stays thin. He puts perhaps too much stock in his coworkers and teammates: With the absence of his own family, and with many of his friends dead, and in a foreign city to boot, he's actively trying to find a new family among those around him. Skills: Jack is a skilled pilot, and was in training to become an engineer before the monster attack that claimed his family. He has completed and honed his engineering skills as part of his specialist MAX FIRE training. In addition, he has a keen eye for detail: One of the reasons he was selected to pilot the Vajra was an ability to think analytically in battle. With hand-to-hand, firearms, or a giant ball of death, he tries to find the flaw in an opponent's fighting style, something that has allowed him to live as long as he has even though he's not the star of the show. He's not necessarily a crack shot, but he's definitely a good shot, and is a capable fighter in close combat, utilizing his environment to help win a fight. Short Bio: Jack was born in New York City to an upper-middle class family. He had a good life, for the most part: Top marks in school, some close friends, a loving family. And he had always been captivated by comic books, video games (which were just getting their start in his childhood), Dungeons and Dragons, and other such "geeky" activities. He was enrolled in college to pursue an engineering degree when the Earth started spitting out monsters. New York was a prime target: A key economic and cultural center for a military superpower, and completely unprepared to fight back. He managed to evacuate with the other civilians during the attack, but the city was a left a warzone, and his mother, father, and younger sister didn't make it out alive. The city was utterly levelled, the monster having shrugged off the feeble attacks by the U.S. military and only leaving once it was satisfied. And the sheer quantity of Etherion residue the monster had left behind would require a massive cleanup operation, as Etherion's effects on the human body was at this point ill-understood. With his life, city, and family in ruins, Jack saw only one choice ahead of him: Travel to Japan, join MAX FIRE, and make those monsters pay for the attack with their lives. He threw himself into his studies at MAX FIRE's engineering school, working with a passion few of his classmates could match. It was this passion, as well as his impeccable eye for detail, that led his superiors to recommend him for pilot training, specifically for the newly-produced Vajra support unit. The Vajra needed a unique person to pilot it, equal parts engineer and combat pilot. Furthermore, it was such an unusual vehicle that even existing plane or helicopter pilots would need much more training than usual to pilot it in the first place. It was decided that, given the Vajra's essential role in performing field repair on the Prometheon and its component parts, it would be cheaper and easier to train an engineer to pilot rather than a pilot to engineer. Upon completing his training, Jack Ryder joined the valiant defenders fighting for humanity's survival.

I need a better Faceclaim.

Model: GAHS-AU Support Unit "Vajra" Specialty: Support Unit for Promethion Features: The Vajra was conceived as a helping hand for the Prometheon in battle. It is perhaps one of the more unusual Etherion-equipped designs in MAX FIRE's arsenal, normally resembling a futuristic floating sphere, about tall enough to reach Prometheon's knee from ground level. It is protected by a powerful shield while fully folded up. In order to fight, it unfolds various strategically-placed areas on its hull, creating a gap in the Etherion shield in order to fire. It is also capable of repairing Prometheon in the field using a combination of several extendable appendages, a few wired semi-autonomous repairbots, and a variety of implements. Its repair mechanism is mostly automated, though it can be overridden to do manual repairs. In addition, it also contains a "E-Boost" system, which overcharges its Etherion engine to immensely boost its speed. When coupled with its shield, the Vajra becomes much harder to damage, capable of getting out of trouble much easier...or, if Jack so desired, turning himself into a massive Etherion-powered bullet. If need be, it can walk on land with a set of four extendable, unfolding legs on its bottom section. Armaments: --> Several Guided Missile Batteries contained in the sphere's "top." --> 40x Etherion "Needlers": So named for the thin beam they project, these small Etherion emitters on all sides of the Vajra are intended mainly to distract or help soften up a large monster. They won't do much damage on their own, but that's all they need to do when you've got the gigantic Prometheon backing you up. --> 2x Cryo Missiles: The Vajra is also equipped, on its left and right side, with two "Cryo Missile" launchers. These are guided missiles that, when they detonate, unleash a compound with an extremely high freezing point. They generally serve to immobilize or slow down an enemy monster, allowing the Prometheon to finish it off. --> 4x Taser Wires: The Vajra has, equipped in its front, four wire-launchers. When the end makes contact with an enemy monster, it digs into the creature's body. Then, the Vajra dumps a ludicrous quantity of electricity into the wires, electrocuting the monster. With the Vajra being so small, it's again unlikely to kill, but it will stun. --> 1x Etherion Beam Cannon: This is the Vajra's most powerful weapon. It takes up virtually the entire diameter of the vehicle and thus the Vajra's entire front half must unfold to activate it. Due to its smaller size, however, it's slightly less powerful than one of the Shirke's own Etherion cannon. --> 6x Beam Autocannon: Contained in the Vajra's sides, front, back, top, and bottom, these are point-defense guns meant to defend the Vajra from softer targets or wear down a monster's defenses. --> 2x Grappling Claws: These are primarily meant to grapple onto the Prometheon to to repairs, but in an emergency these can be used in melee. They're unlikely to do much, however. --> 2x Vajra Buzzsaw: The Vajra's primary method of defending itself at close-range. The "equator" of the Vajra can open up to reveal a pair of two razor-sharp Etherion energy blades that then spin at 3,500 RPM. Weaknesses: --> Boosting creates a ton of heat. The Vajra needs some time to cool down after about thirty continuous seconds of using it. --> In order to fire any of its weapons, it must drop its shield in that area. This opens it up to attack. --> While the Vajra itself is well-armored, its small size relative to an enemy monster means that Jack must be careful not to get smacked away in combat, and the Vajra's armor can only do so much against something ten times its weight. --> It is dependent on outer cameras to see. If these are destroyed, Jack must open up a canopy in the sphere's upper-frontal section to not crash.
