[color=#E65C1B]The strong, noble and honorable samurai. The graceful and acrobatic ninja. These romanticized images are still deeply connected in the roots and history of Japan. Tales told as old as time, but one tale will never be told. Not one to inspire. Not one for others to admire and imitate without the context. One to fear. One name and image uttered by the influential few, as a power play. Like the biggest play on a checkerboard. One name and image the powered fear, even if they largely believed it to be a myth would be the Demon Lotus.

Though the term Bushido began in the Edo Period, the Demon Lotus already had started a practice of Harmonizing Death in the Heian periods. Though their origins state the organization begun to build during the late Nara Periods. 

During this time was the rise of spiritualism and while it is deeply rooted in the codes of the Demon Lotus, they believe there were two types of Spiritualism in the world. Still deeply embedded in their codes and beliefs to this day. The Puppet and The Master.[/color]

They allow their powers to be a skill they use, but do not temper it in anyway that it becomes a demon that puppets them. They are enslaved to a power that they do not control, but controls them.[/color][/center]

[center][color=#E65C1B]The Master is disciplined. Has spent many years listening to their inner voice, they have spent years turning power into a discipline. A master is not one with just a skill, but knowledge. They know that their inner voice is as commanding as any spirit is. It is persuasive and powerful, if one does not find balance within themselves than that inner voice takes over with its demands and that individual becomes a Puppet.[/color][/center]
[color=#E65C1B]The ninja had Ninjutsu and the samurai had Kenjutusu. The Lotus practiced the discipline of Harmonized Death. Some even called it peaceful violence. Though some would criticize that no group meant to assassinate and control those with power is peaceful by nature.In truth the type of balance the Lotus achieved was close to zen a type of inner mind discipline technique warriors and martial artist used. The difference between zen and Harmonized Death was that one kept a warrior focused, the other was meant to focus the Lotus member in harnessing balanced aggression.[/color]

[center][color=#E65C1B]Violence is the inner demon that all life possess. This inner demon is powerful, manipulative, and feeds your every desire and want. The goal is not to let this inner demon possess you, and instead you possess this inner demon. To harness and become the demon is to control your impulses. This is achieved through these three core skills.

1 - Sharpen the Mind

The mind is a powerful tool that sees what it wants to see. It creates reality that make it possible for most to live comfortably without awareness. Understanding your mind and understanding that what coexist with it is inefficiency allows you not to be fooled by your own minds tricks. It will make you believe you are superior, you are not. It will make you believe you are right, you are not. By peering through the lies your mind tells you, you are able to look at the world in front of you with a more critical eye.

2 - Channel your Spirit

Energy flows around us. Though most are unaware of it. And those who are, are ones who have not taken the steps to defend themselves against their own desire, impulses, and other human temptations dooms us into the misuses of this energy. With a Sharpened Mind, the disciplined Lotus will be able to Channel this Spiritual energy into themselves, finding harmony with the world around them. We are all spiritually connected and only those with a sharpen mind, and opened channels can see this.

3 - Focus your Sight

People tend to miss details They linger on a singular detail and forget to look at all the possibilities in a situation. Your sight should never be unfocused, it should remain open to all possibilities and must see the connection of the world in front of it. A tree at a distance is a tree to the one with unfocused sight, but the one with sharp eyes sees the roots underneath, sees the veins of life flowing through the bark, and see how it connects to all the other things around it.[/color][/center] 

[color=#E65C1B]On the surface the Demon Lotus ideals and disciplines don’t make them stand out as the feared image they have acquired over the thousand of years. But it is the thousand of years of encouraged disciplined violence that makes the Demon Lotus a feared killer. Violence is not seen merely as a destructive tool in the hand of the Demon Lotus violence is an aura, a spirit they harness through them. It is discouraged within the group to kill for the sake of killing, it is frowned upon to use violence as merely a tool or to be used merely as a destructive force. It is not permitted among the clan to use violence in such a way and often harsh punishment is meant to cleanse and discourage such discourse in those who do so. 

That doesn’t mean the Demon Lotus do not physically fight or that they do not have weapon usage. The style the Demon Lotus is adopted of many influences in combat, they called Hybrid Arts. Which has for thousand of years incorporated other physical styles within its own physical style. At the foundation or root of the Demon Lotus personal style is the concept of Movement Flow.[/color]

[color=#E65C1B][center]Movement is the core foundation of the Demon Lotus Hybrid Arts. Even if it took jijutsu or kenjutsu or ninjustu, it starts at the foundation of Movement Flow. In the modern era the concept of Movement Flow seems to be an ancient form of freerunning and parkour. Though Movement Flow is uprooted from the idea that the Lotus has control of their inner voice and their inner world. It isn’t just about traversing the landscape freely. It is about moving in one’s world connectively. To connect oneself to the world around them to manipulate it’s many natural elements and move in ways that others would consider “supernatural” without the discipline.[/center][/color]

[color=#E65C1B]The Role of Tenma is an awfully difficult position to study and understand, as Tenma often organizes the Demon Lotus from afar. Few associate themselves with Tenma directly, there is a hierarchy that exist within the Demon Lotus. To even earn the title and inherit the title as the next Tenma, the current Tenma of that time must observe if you have cleansed your mind from all Inner Temptation and listen not with your personhood, but your spirituality. A Great Tenma is one who understands the separation of leading with self and leading with spirit. Tenma doesn’t guide the Demon Lotus of his or her own bias, desire, temptation or personal reality, but guides with the spiritual voice, and steers the organization through the connectivity that connects them all. It is why the hierarchy of the Demon Lotus is often described as working like the Lotus to demonstrate the inner connection they all share.

The Core begins with Tenma - he or she oversees the laws, and enforces the rules of the Demon Lotus. They act as spiritual guides and give clarity to problems at hand. They do not directly deal with the organizations clients, unless it is an absolute must nor do they directly deal with their members unless it is absolutely necessary. Though Tenma often has the final say or final vote if there is discourse within the organization. And may also hand out special assignment if necessary. The Tenma often relies on their supporting branches to act through their image.

The Branches are the Tenma’s supporting officers. They are often the highest official ranking members of the group and highly respected. They are often considered Masters of the Demon Lotus and are often the teachers. They are often the ones who deal with their clients in person, acting in the image of Tenma and or dealing with the members of the Demon Lotus acting in the word of Tenma. 

Lastly you have the roots and the ones that help make the organization stand. The roots are the future they are the next generation that helps create stalks that will eventually rise up and become valuable members who hold up the tenants of the Demon Lotus. In the Demon Lotus there is never the idea that you can’t make it in some capacity. Everyone is treated as if they have a valuable job at every level of the Demon Lotus and those who do exceptional work are often the ones who stand out and rise to a higher position.[/color][/hider]

Probably where his name derived from, to imply the strength of spirit that impressed the former Tenma before the current one. Always said that he saw great potential in Roma. The moment I laid my eyes upon him I knew he had the spirit of a warrior. There are a number of features that stand out about Roma’s look. Some are more natural and some more strange. This [color=yellow]Eastern Asian[/color] man of no known [color=yellow]Nationality[/color], though presumably [color=yellow]Japanese[/color] is a contradiction of subtly. As smooth skinned as he looks, is not the same as it feels. Though what clashes with the notion of stealth is the choice of red in his hair and his outfit, the create a discordant with his jet black hair. His outfits are often a combination of reds and blacks. A red coat, black pants. A black coat, red pants. Dressed like some cyberpunk biker from the future, while possessing a contradictory modern day sports bike. The tattoos on his skin draw attention, a large black spider designed on his neck spreading a web on his collarbone, it’s legs spread out. Snakes coiled around gears, in a nearly H.R.Giger horror fest on his right arm. Knee high boots add a touch of flamboyance to an already androgynous man.[/color]

[color=#D12B23]Young looks compliment him, making him seem much younger than what he is. Not a single wrinkle on his face and he’s uncharacteristically unaging. Some might notice the bags under his eyes though maybe that is more to do with the late night gaming session and nothing to do with his age. His eyes are haunting because they possess nothing that relates him to other human beings. The whites of his eyes are replaced with black and with piercing red irises he looks classically like a demon. Though possessed with his smooth skin, youthful looks, he’s noticeably attractive to a certain type of girl who probably state him to be more of a demonic prince.[/color]

[color=#D12B23]To jealous men his voice is hoarse and throaty, to woman his voice is smoldering and husky. It’s got the right level of modulation and tone to make it pleasant to listen to and want you to engage further with the man before you. Beckoning you near and making your knees weak. Most men who are jealous that he can so easily attract woman would say the opposite, it’s like listening to grating sandpaper. Roma’s tone is often pleasant and chill, he’s often laid back, and relaxed. It’s often seen in his open body posture, and a warm demeanor. He’s got a very calm energy about him that makes others relax and calm near him. 

To most surprise is that he’s actually quite slim and lean. He’s actually quite tone, but bony. His skin is rough depending on the way you touch it. He also has quite elegant fingers, some girl has noted on her blog about him. Standing at 170cms, 5’7”, and weighs 56kg, 125lbs, with type 0 blood.[/color]

[color=#D12B23][b]Personality:[/b]

Nothing about Roma particularly stands out as secret member of an organization meant to cleanse the world of the unfit minded Ultras. In fact you probably wouldn’t even get the sense that Roma has his own views about Ultras, especially when he’s seen getting Froyo with a pretty woman. In fact it’s easy to miss considering Roma comes off as a likeable individual. He’s often a quite relaxed individual, someone so chill that you don’t really consider him to be anything, but authentic about his true self. Though it isn’t like Roma is not at least partially his true self around others.

As a member of the Demon Lotus Roma has learned to puppet his desires, wants, and temptations and steer them in the direction he wants them. Often aware of impulses and able to act against spontaneous thinking. To be a Demon Lotus doesn’t mean getting rid of the self, it’s about not allowing oneself to lose partial or all control. You can have likes, you can have hobbies, as long as they don’t necessarily consume you.

Consume means allowing it to change or warp your perspective in some way. To believe you are above others, superiority is often frowned upon as much as violence is frowned upon. All Desire is to be done in moderation. On the surface Roma doesn’t seem to live a life that monitors his own Desire. Considering that people see his bike and consider how expensive it is. The tattoos on his body, seem like another display of wealth. His apartment, actually paid by the Demon Lotus, is comfortable, to some perhaps luxurious. Though Roma’s not really chosen these things for himself because he wants to show off his wealth.

In fact his bike, he built with some help, humble. His tattoos are from friends or people he knows as friends from the Demon Lotus, modest. Roma doesn’t let money or the fame he receives change him. In fact he seems to mostly tune that out. Praise is to be earned, listened to, but not to be contained within oneself for long. You can feel prideful of an achievement, but must realize you will make many more achievements.

It’s this kind of thinking that begins to peel back the layers. Of how critical minded Roma actually is. Or how analytical he is. Roma doesn’t see the world for it’s shiny label, but he is able to peel back it’s surface and not let it’s manipulation and trickery change him. He doesn’t fall for advertisements aimed to trigger others desire or need for something. In truth despite all of Roma’s warmth he is also very cold. Very cold about the world around him.

In fact Roma looks at most Ultras who have no plan or no temperance as foolish. He’s not a fan of this current generations Ultras running around doing things simply because they desire to do so. And he sees most Standards as sheep. Doing what they are told, being mislead and allowing themselves to be mislead. When they have all the technology to inform themselves they choose not to. Some humans he sees as outright greedy and selfish and it disgust him slightly to see how much anarchy is out there in the real world.

And while violence may not be his core personality, Roma feels little when it comes to death. It is just another cycle. Another part of life. It is something that occurs and to be accepted. Those who fight for their lives or beg for mercy are those who believe or value their lives over others. And he has no time to feel for them. 

And while there is that coldness, Roma does find pleasure in things. He does have hobbies. He’s learned mechanics and enjoys fixing up his bike, it’s a relaxing task as peaceful as fixing up a zen garden. He’s got quite the hand eye coordination for first person shooters and while he admits they are all the same contrived game, he likes them because they are enjoyably bad.[/color]

[color=#D12B23][b]Daily Skills:[/b]

When you have downtime, you have to sort of learn to adapt in the environment that you are in and cultivate another identity for yourself. But just because it’s something you create to assimilate into a lifestyle doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it either.

Fancy way of saying he games quite a bit. It’s one of those task he enjoys doing merely because it’s relaxing. If he isn’t playing video games or practicing for the next big tournament, he’s tuning up his bike. Adding parts, fixing broken parts. And if his bike is running smoothly it means he goes off to help his friends with their car trouble. Often thanked and praised for saving them millions of dollars. He’s pretty sure they are exaggerating. 

Animal Care

On the surface this just seems like Roma playing off of his demeanor he’s crafted for himself and another one of those things that throws people off to the fact that he is a member of the Demon Lotus. Though the truth is that Roma’s always cared for animals. Never had any of his own, but he volunteers fairly regular at the local ASPCA.[/color][/hider]

When their minds are properly nurtured, they are taught the basics of body movement, and then they are finally taught in its final form Hybrid Arts. But each adult is earned a title through task and skill. Akai Kumo translate to Red Spider, Akai meaning red, and Kumo meaning Spider. A name Roma earned due to the abilities he possessed, but also do to his dual nature. Japan has a mythology of a yokai that appears as a beautiful woman, the lure, and when her prey gets close she reveals herself to be a woman spider, the hunter.[/color][/center]
