Penelope glanced up at him as he spoke up again slid his arm around her waist. She thought over his words, already beginning to be swayed by them as he pressed a kiss to her neck. It had been a while since they had managed to be alone and there was no guaranteeing the next day would provide them with a better opportunity, especially if their lead did pan out like she hoped it would. Plus, if they tried to slip away before everyone went to bed, that would likely leave Gavin and Rikki alone together since she doubted Olivia and Alistair would be around as well. The thought of leaving those two alone together was a bit unsettlingly as she guessed the best she could hope for was a tense silence between them, if not more conflict. Perhaps it wouldn't be so terrible to sneak away with him for a little bit. "So stubborn." Penelope said in an affectionate mumble. She gave a soft chuckle and smiled up at him. "Alright we can go during my shift then." she said, finally giving in. The knight had already been tempted so all it took was another small push for her to cave. However, she wasn't certain she wanted to take him up on his offer with taking over her shift. Penelope trusted him to be able to handle it fine but she'd feel a bit guilty with putting the work onto him. They had all had a long day and it was supposed to be her shift not his. "As for covering me," she paused and shrugged her shoulders. "I'll try to do it myself.. I'm kinda tired right now but I might be ok once we get some sleep. I don't want you to get stuck with having to do my work." Penelope leaned away from him so she could get up to her feet. The knight stretched as she stood up and then looked back down at him with a small, tired smile. "Speaking of which, we should probably get to bed then." she said, holding out her hand to him.
