Penelope frowned slightly as Gavin denied her attempt to switch groups. It seemed that the male knight was hellbent on, not only separating the two female knights from the thieves, but also keeping Crow nearby him. She had caught on that he was acting rather suspicious of the thief, perhaps even a bit more than usual, which confused her since she didn't think there was any reason for his distrust of the thief to suddenly increase. Perhaps he was just paranoid because of how late they had woken up. She let out a soft sigh as Gavin moved to take the lead of the first group before turning to look over at Crow. "I have a feeling it's going to be a long day for both of us...Good luck." she mumbled to him then turned her attention to the other two thieves. Alistair clearly wasn't sure what to think of this new arrangement while Rikki eyed her. The female thief didn't seem overly pleased about the situation either but the faint smirk on her lips was enough to put Penelope on guard. "Well, looks like I'm with you guys today." Penelope said, offering a small smile. Though she wasn't thrilled about the situation, she at least wanted to try and make sure things ran smoothly. "Yeah.." Alistair agreed, scratching the back of his head awkwardly before exchanging a glance with Rikki. Rikki paused then crossed her arms. "Sorry, I'm confused again. I thought you were the one that outranked him." she said with a nod towards Gavin. "Or does being your 'friend' give him special privileges?" Penelope rolled her eyes at the accusation. It seemed Rikki still hadn't completely dropped that argument, nor her assumptions about her relationship with Gavin. "I just see no reason to fight with him on every decision is all. He's convinced you guys are the main threat so maybe working with Crow a little more will make him see that you're not." she shrugged her shoulders and turned to begin their walk towards the town. "Regardless we still have work to do." "Ah so now you choose to take the lead huh?" Rikki questioned her with a smirk. "If you want to lead go ahead." Penelope said stopping to looking over at Rikki. She held the thief's gaze and gestured for her to pass her. "I just want to track this bastard down. I don't care about who leads who so long as it gets done." she stated sternly. Rikki shrugged her shoulders. "No need to get all worked up again. I was just saying." she mused as she moved to follow the knight. Alistair followed the two with a small smirk, nearly seeming a bit entertained. Penelope let out a heavy exhale. She had a sinking feeling it would be difficult working with them as Rikki was clearly still trying to get under her skin while Alistair was clearly not going to make any efforts to make the situation better. At least he's not making it worse.. she thought as she focused her gaze ahead.
