Kai instinctively reached for his own pistol when the drunken stranger drew his. However, the boy did not pull his out, remembering that it had not been loaded since the incident at the tavern. The other pirate had a point though, a drunk fellow with a loaded gun in his hand was dangerous, but also as much of a danger to himself as to others. Considering the man's disoriented state, Kai would have most likely been able to beat him in a pistol duel right now, if only he had a shot in his own weapon. He then flinched ever so slightly when Ratte stepped forward and slapped the stranger's gun aside, for that moment considering the possibility of the gun going off by accident. Thankfully, it ended up being fine, with Isago then speaking up to engage the drunkard. That was when a little boy approached the group and greeted them. Kai stared at the child, stunned for a moment at how suspicious it seemed to be, before scanning the area. This had to be part of something bigger, right? No, the child seemed to be alone. Kai wondered what the tavern catching fire had to do with him being out here, and why would he decided to interact with a group of random strangers at this time of the night? What was he even doing out here at such a time? Kai laughed to himself as he realized that such questions would probably be posed to him by any adult who did not know who he was. Perhaps, like him, this child did not have a home or family. "Where is your family? Do you need help?" Kai asked the newest arrival. [@Mogget] [@King Tai] [@FalkiThomas] [@Blueflame] [@KatherinWinter]
