It took a while for Hikari to reply. When she did, it wasn't with questions at all, but rather a loud declaration of intent. [i]Of course, that's exactly what a magical girl would say in this situation...[/i] Tokiko shrugged, and glanced away, looking a little hurt.

"Fine! Do whatever you want. Even if it's dumb, it's not like I can stop you..."

And then Tokiko did something extraordinary: she actually shut up. For just a moment, at least. Awkward silence filled the alleyway as she stopped to consider, the sound of distant cars barely audible as the sky darkened overhead. Her hands clutched at one another, fidgeting. Finally, she raised her head to look back at Hikari.

"G-gimme your phone number."
