[indent]Madeline was born to two loving parents and police officers by the names Jonathan and Lauren Mills. The two had met while working for the NYPD and well the rest is history. For the first five years of her life her parents made sure she was never without one of them. The two not wanting to have one of them missing from the beginning years of her life. It was hard to get their shifts to work out well enough for that to work but the parents did it. Once she began to go to school full-time though Madeline’s parents were okay with letting a babysitter pick her up from school and watch her until dinner. As long as one of them came home for dinner and was there until she fell asleep in which another sitter would take over. Her parent’s made sure she knew she was important to them and loved. Even when sometimes they had to miss dinner, Madeline never minded as she grew up, she knew her parents jobs were important and that whatever they were doing meant more in the long run than a dinner. 

This routine continued even past when she could watch herself, she would just get a ride home instead and no babysitter would be needed. Everything changed though her sophomore year of high school. Her father was off that day and the two were enjoying a movie marathon on the rainy Saturday. It was a great day until the knock on the door came. Her father answered it letting the Chief of Police who sat in front of the two at the kitchen table. The news was broken to them that her mother was killed in the line of duty and it changed things for the two forever. 

Her father grew distant and threw himself into his work after the funeral and she went down the path of partying every weekend. It wasn't until midway through summer between her junior and senior year when he had to arrest his own daughter for not only underage drinking but also starting a fight that the two began to mend their relationship. It helped that the reason Madeline started the fight was for watching a guy slip something into a drink then give it to an unknowing girl. She had grabbed the drink from the girl’s hand, dumped it on the guy, then punched him in the nose. Her father was actually proud and charges were dropped as they found the drug in the guy’s pocket so he was given a deal. Although the guy still got charged by the girl who was informed of the drug in her drink. 

From the event forward Madeline’s dad and her grew closer. Madeline giving up drinking altogether for the rest of high school and her father taking it upon himself to teach her self-defense as well as teaching her how to shoot a gun, use pepper spray, and use a taser effectively. The two started back up an old tradition from her childhood of going to the zoo every weekend as she still had a love for the animals. It was this tradition that drove her to pursue her current study. When it came time to choose a college, she chose to travel across the country to get away from the bad memories and get a bit of a new start with the support of her father. It helped the CCU had an amazing Pre-Vet program as well as an amazing Veterinary program for when she finished her first four years. [/indent][/indent]
