There was a sudden sound, a by now familiar crackle of energy right by Ivan and Kakra, though the source was unseen. This was terrible, Alexei thought. The stone man was much more durable and violent than he'd previously anticipated. Were he a normal man Alexei would have taken this opportunity to choke the maniac out, but he didn't believe that was going to do any good. Neither would the flare he still had. The way he saw it there was only one way to prevent this murder. Was it ironic that the only this thing he could rely on so often was the most unreliable thing in the universe? Still, the invisibility had let him get close enough to breath on Ivan. That meant that even if the result was a violent self destruction he might still catch the mad man in the blast. He reached out, unseen, and directly touched the man with the whirling power. There was a burst. Just like that the world came into perfect focus and Ivan suddenly understood. Ivan understood exactly where Alexei was, and what he had done to him. Ivan understood where the helicopter had come from, where the light had sprung from, the trolls, Gregor, Alyona, how all the events of the day had spiraled together into this moment. He understood where to find the witches bloodline, and all the ways to break his families curse disregarding it. He could see the bloodline of the witch in front of him, flowing through Kakra. He understood that there was great danger coming to the school, but that he had no time to prevent it. He understood the stories of everyone he'd ever met and everyone he'd never meet. He knew the names of every God and how to bend them to his will. He saw the faces of everyone he would love, and how they would meet their end. Ivan understood everything, including that this understanding was fleeting. (Effect 5982: Target omniscient for one round then forgets everything.)
