While certainly pleasant and conversational in her off-duty hours, Monika holds people at arm’s length. It may be fine to be buddies with the folks you’re in with if you work for one of those ‘Ball cap and Raybans’ corporate PMCs, as an independent contractor, you never know if the people you’re sharing chow with today will be taking shots at you in six months, so it’s best not to get attached.
