It's not anything spectacular but I'm proud of her. She's gone through a lot of renditions and tweaks but this is the version I've settled on. I wrapped most of this sheet up in the wee hours of the morning in order to make the deadline and not interfere with the plans put in motion so please forgive the rough edges. I'm 100% open to any input so feel free to let me know how you feel about her.

[Taryn Weaver]

[34] | [FEMALE] | [5’9] | [O+]

General Information
ALIASES // TITLES: Eliza Larson, Lara Arlington, Lena Strauss, Vera Blackwater // The Iron Wolf APPEARANCE: Taryn has a strong athletic body type, muscular build, well-developed shoulders and slim hips. She has grayish green eyes and hair that is curly, black and naturally oily, falling just passed her ears. OCCUPATION: “I was the one you called when you didn’t want to get your hands dirty. Now I’m not sure who I am.” CAMPAIGN TEAM POSITION: Able to be used as required. Taryn can provide security, tinker, or snoop on competitors. She’s not picky so long as she’s kept busy.
Psychological Profile
Confident | Athletic | Courageous | Blunt | Callous | Sociable PERSONAL GOAL: Choosing to lay low after her departure from her previous employers Taryn is just looking to sustain herself. She's living as comfortably as she can without drawing too much attention to herself, and she's able to earn herself enough cash working freelance that she doesn't really have to want for anything but Taryn has lived her whole life as an enigma. All those years she spent just being a shadow on the wall, and an asset to be called upon and disposed of when the needed have left her feeling empty. Now she's not exactly sure what she wants out of life but she definitely wants to be something more than what she used to be. CAMPAIGN GOAL: Taryn has only lived in the Reclaim Zone for a few years, long enough for her to see the opportunity in the down trodden streets but not quite long enough for her to feel safe. She worked for some dangerous people, and she didn't exactly leave on agreeable terms. During her time in the Reclaim Zone she's heard Campbell's message, seen him speak. He's someone she didn't really think she'd be turned to but after sometime she's started to agree with him. While Taryn isn't exactly a political person she see's Campbell and his campaign as a way for her to get back in the business but also be a part of something meaningful, not only for her but also the people of the Reclaim Zone. PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY: Having spent most of her life guided only by the moral compass of those that could afford her Taryn never really though too much about the things she was, and wasn't willing to do for money. Her life was always based on competition. If she knew her competitors were augmented she'd try to one up them. If they offered something she didn't she'd try and do one better, and if her competition couldn't be beat then she'd get rid of them. Her life has been and always will be driven by success. There isn't anything that Taryn has devoted her time to that she hasn't put 100% of herself into. She's a hard charger, and an even harder worker. In her line of work if you weren't the best your were nobody, and if you were the best then someone was coming for your spot. At the end of the day Taryn was just a trigger-woman out for herself, because at the time she was the only one that she could trust to keep herself alive. POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY: Having been behind the curtain Taryn has seen for herself just how deep the corruption of the mega-corporations run. At the time she didn't care, they paid well and more importantly they kept her hands dirty. Now she's not even sure if she cares about their corruption. To her it's just the nature of the beast. With that much money changing hands someone is bound to get greedy and pocket a little extra for themselves. So Taryn doesn't worry about it, she's played her part in the corporate grand scheme and got burned. Now she choices to keep her nose out of corporate politics, but that certainly does not mean she's blind to the nature of the world. She's aware of how corrupt the United States has become compared to its former self. It may have always been bad, but now it's obvious to her that we're all living in the corpse of a rotting nation. With the select few cutting off what edible pieces of meat are still left and leaving the putrid scraps for the rest of us. That doesn't mean that she may not try to play her part in making things better. As long as there's money to be made, and work to be done she's willing to do what's asked of her just like before after all Taryn knows what she's good at. Except this time around she's inclined to be more selective of her employers. SECRETS: Taryn has always lived and worked as an enigma. If she ever had to use her name it was a fake so she's not worried up her name being brought up in the wrong circles. Although that doesn't mean her life is without secrets. She's acquired knowledge from working within some of the most powerful corporations in the Derelict City, and given the nature of her departure she's sure to have a price on her head. So for her sake Taryn keeps that part of her life under wraps. To those that inquire about her set of skills and how she acquired them Taryn responds with. "I'm good, and how isn't important." FEARS: Taryn is afraid of waking up to a loaded gun at her head, or simply not waking up at all. She's certainly gained the attention of all the wrong people back east, and no matter how confident she is with her evasion of them so far she's still not willing to risk it. Even though it's been years since she fled the Derelict City and she's yet to hear even a mention of her previous self in the underground Taryn still fears that her life could be cut short before she's ever given the chance to actually make something out of it. Taryn also has an unrelenting fear of being alone. Seeing as how she lives by herself she has a terrible time sleeping, and it has honestly been years since she's gotten a full nights sleep. Although this does not lead her into seeking some sort of relationship with someone, she’s just as afraid of being emotionally invested in someone as she is of being alone. REPUTATION: In the Reclaim Zone Taryn was given a fresh start. No one knows her here and she would prefer to keep it that way. Although Taryn has a seething hatred of inactivity so she's taken to fighting in the Koena Dome. In these fights Taryn has earned the title of "The Iron Wolf" due to her speed and ferocity during a fight, and the ability to take a hit and keep swinging. Outside of the Dome she has very few interactions with people, so very few know who she is when she's not in the ring. Taryn certainly prefers it this way, and doesn't mind hearing people tell stories of her without really knowing who she is. She figures there's no harm in it for now, and the fights are a good way to keep her pockets lined with cash. LIKES: Americanized Chinese food, working out, fighting, and vintage unfiltered cigarettes, DISLIKES: Coffee, being alone, self-pity, and inactivity. QUIRKS: Taryn seldom sits the way you're supposed to in a chair. She insists on stretching out her legs, or kicking the chair back on two of it's legs. She also has a habit of smoking cigarettes even though due to her augments they have very little effect on her, it's primarily the act of doing something with her hands that draws her to it. Which also leads into her always fidgeting while she sits, never staying completely still unless she absolutely has to. Taryn can not just wait, she's has to be doing something so no matter what she'll find something to keep herself occupied.
Background Information
Taryn can barely remember the life she had before her carrier in corporate wet work started. She can faintly remember her parents, who they were, what they taught her, and what they did but she can't for the life of her remember their names. Her only visual reminder of the fact that she had parents is a tattered picture of them that she guards with her life. It's faded with the years but she's always been comforted by their faces, and their note written on the back. "We love you so much and are so proud of you Tyler!" - Love, Mom & Dad Besides the skills she's learned over the years Taryn keeps her past in the past. As frustrating as it may be for someone that wants to know more about her she doesn't like to talk about herself. Taryn is constantly moving forward trying to escape the life she left behind in the Derelict City choosing to hang onto the memory of her parents so she has an anchor for herself. Something to remind her of a time where she was happy, and that she could hopefully find that happiness again.
Operative Information
AUGMENTATIONS: Taryn has a slew of augmentations that she has acquired over the years in order to keep herself marketable over the course of her career. That being said she always enjoyed the more modest approach to augmentation so while most of her body is augmented she hides most of them under her skin. APEX Industries Cyberlimbs [Olympian Model IV] Both of Taryn’s legs from the knees down, and her both arms from the elbow to her fingertips have been replaced with some of APEX Industries most discreet line of prosthesis, at the time. Replacing bone, muscle, and flesh with polymers and steel. Taryn mainly chose to augment her legs due to an injury she received that made walking extremely difficult for her. So while she's had her legs for quite sometime they've still held up well over the years, and with the required care and maintenance should continue to do so for a few more years. It's only apparent that Taryn's limbs are augmented when she chooses to deactivate the cyberskin covering the joints of her cyberlimbs. Also with the increased speed granted by her partial legs could cause problems since her entire legs are not augmented. So she runs the risk of shredding what remaining organic muscle she has if she pushes them too hard, same goes for her arms. It's something that Taryn has always wanted to alter but has yet to make the decision on. APEX Industries Cyber-C0re Endoskeleton [Atlas Model VI] In an attempt to counteract the increase strain placed on her body by her augmented arms and legs, as well as to increase the natural resilience of her body Taryn has had an endoskeleton installed. Replacing all of her core bone structure with polymers, steel, and fiber-optics. These include her spine, ribs, sternum, shoulders, and hips allowing her to lift much more weight than a woman of her size would be expected to. It also grants her extreme rigidity, these bones are no longer broken easily and if they are they are most certainly easier to repair. This augment also provides extra shielding to her heart and lungs, allowing Taryn to get a less rugged and more elegant set of lungs and heart. The only visible contacts for this augmentation are rivets that run along her spine, and hips but for now they're hidden under a layer of cyberskin. [1] Biotech Cybernetic Heart, & [2] Biotech Lungs Cutting edge tech paid for by an insanely lucrative contract. Taryn's heart will never stop beating, or at least that's what the warranty said. She's become immune to blood borne pathogens, heart stoppages and irregular heartbeats are no longer something she'll need to worry about for the foreseeable future. Her lungs have increased her stamina, removed the risk of cancers, including the effects of cigarettes. They also possess the ability to operate independent of each other so if one is punctured the other can still function without too many issues. Although over inflation can occur causing damage to or out right destroying surrounding organs and tissue, and with Taryn's endoskeleton she runs the very real risk of crushing her other lung if it over inflates due to the strength of her rib cage. [1] Engitech Bio-monitor A sub-dermal display mounted on Taryn's right forearm this augment provides a real-time readout of her common bodily functions like heart rate, blood pressure, blood chemistry, brainwave activity, temperature, cholesterol levels and a number of other miscellaneous bodily functions. EQUIPMENT: [1] 5.7mm FMJ Handgun - Holding 15 rounds counting the one in the chamber Taryn's handgun isn't the flashiest piece of firepower but it's what she could afford when she came into South City. She's done enough work involving firearms that she knows what works and what doesn't and in her opinion there are few things that could stop subsequent shots from a 5.7 FMJ, although Taryn prefers to not push her luck in engagements. If it comes down to her having to put rounds down range she aims for the soft spots on her targets, primarily the head, and if she manages to get close enough she'll let her hands take care of them. SKILLS: The Iron Wolf - While more of a title than a skill Taryn didn't earn it for no reason. Fighting in the Dome was originally just something Taryn did for fun and some extra cash but she turned out to be very good at it. In a ring where most people are either broken or killed Taryn has taken hits most men would've been knocked out by. She's taken down men twice her size, and refused to give up from a fight. Death isn't something she fears when she knows she can face it on her own terms. FLAWS: S.P.E.C.S - Taryn has come to terms with the condition that's starting to effect her body and her mind. Fortunately it started late in her life so she figures she still has a decent amount of time left until she needs to start using Neurosynth to keep her from going over the deep end. Although she blames the disease for the loss of her earliest memories making the possession of her parents photo even more important. Taryn just hopes that by time the disease really hits her she'll be in a better position to take care of herself, and the subsequent addiction that is sure to follow. Although if for whatever reason she isn't she's prepared herself mentally to take her own life than let herself degrade into a mindless husk unaware of who she is. Sleep Deprivation - Plagued by the inability to enter a deep sleep due to her fear of being killed in her sleep. Taryn has gotten used to it at this point but it's taking a toll on her physically. Even with her augments she's not as sharp or as effective as she could be if she was getting proper rest. With that being said Taryn is easily woken up and some nights won't sleep at all because she's too paranoid to let her guard down. This is something that only came about after she left her previous employer but it could very well be caused by the onset of S.P.E.C.S as well. NOTES: As far as skills and backstory are concerned I figured I would let them develop over the course of the story. Mainly because I feel like the skills would come more naturally that way, and because I'm horrible at writing a backstory and keeping with it. I don't like to pigeon hole a character with their backstory.

I do like your new idea of this Koena Dome fighter, but I do think she needs a lot of extrapolation. There is a reason I kept the sheets pretty dense and it's because I want characters to show dynamic change throughout the story, and that is hard to do without a well-built character to begin with. I know backstories can be hard and characters will develop and change, but I encourage development. I am in accord with most of what [@The Bork Lazer] said. Particularly, I'd want more development on the occupation as it dictates a lot of what the character begins as, the backstory as mentioned above, and most importantly the campaign team position. The whole premise of the RP has each of us specializing and changing in areas that give us active roles in the campaign. This sort of fighter could make a good bruiser or you could try for something like a friend of Campbell's who uses prize money to fund the campaign. No matter the position, we'll all be doing a lot of all sorts of tasks, but I want each person to inherit their unique role. When revised, you'll be gladly accepted into the fold.
This looks like a good one. Is it too late to join? I'm interested in making a bartender character who is also a friend and under the table benefactor for the candidate. Light physical augmentations (less combat focused, more on getting away and retaining/spreading/containing information). Maybe a relationship with the reporter character? Probably as a source. Or as someone to spread misleading information among the clientele. Services of that sort.
Applications have now closed as we are just ready to begin after a lot of waiting. There will be a second phase of characters that I will be bringing in later into the RP, so if you'd like to keep up to date, that will come eventually as things start to settle from the first wave. For now, however, our squad has been determined.
Okay ladies and gents, I'm writing the first post now. I'm going to start with group 1 and I will try to get the second post done within the next day as well. Again, I can apologize enough for the long wait times. I've been so busy, but my dedication to Futility is pushing me through this. Let's do this! Also, I've created a new character that will be joining the crew in group 1. I'll post her sheet in the character tab, relegating Cass to a more active NPC role.
