Able to read deceit during interrogations. Sooth comrades with a glance, sooth nerves during tense situations. She can instill a sense of severe dread and fear into those that would do her harm. Though a lot of this is a battle of willpower. Someone with a strong mental faculty can resist her, though not subconsciously. It would need a degree of concentration to refuse her emotional manipulations.[/i][/indent]

[indent][i]Outwardly Eliza would give the appearance of an ADHD Kangaroo; just hopping around. She is dorky and silly near 90% of the time. Making silly jokes and on a regular basis reminding people that 'she' had also said that. Another defining feature of the pint sized whirlwind of childlike glee is her vices. She is a candy slut, she loves her candy like she loves her cigarettes - which I dare say is a lot.

Beyond that she is utterly tormented by the world around her. Able to sense and feel the emotions all around her is often overwhelming. So she drowns herself with dopamine boosting substances and her patented can-do attitude; desperately trying her best to actually feel the mask she puts out for the world.[/i][/indent]

[indent][i]People wouldn't really say Eliza had an abnormal childhood in Casper, Wyoming. She often fell into the background, keeping to herself and focusing on school and avoiding social events. She would be considered as a nerd; glasses, braces, and all. At this time Eliza believed herself just like another other social sea-cucumber.

It all changed for her after her braces came off, her body began to mature, and she got over her fear of touching her eye to put in contacts. Moving onto High school she began her journey to popularity. She secretly still enjoys video games, comics, and cute anime girls. With her new appearance and faked personality Eliza was quickly becoming one of the popular girls. Her freshmen year was a dream. She had more friends than she could count, invited to all the parties, dated a few of the popular boys.

Things began to change during her sophmore year. Eliza comes from a minor mage family - in fact they have not had a mage born that her father doesn't even know of mages. So it was unexpected when she began to change and develop her powers. It began a day after a  party, able to see strange colors coming off people. She thought maybe someone slipped something to her the night prior and it was still affecting her. Not wanting to let her parents know she died her best to act normal. She had her breakfast and off to the mall with her friends.

She asked them if they heard of any drug that cause these hallucinations. Especially if they were being passed around at the party. They all seemed disappointed they didn't know it was there because 'the trip sounds awesome'. So she let it go for the rest of the day. But the next day it was the same. She was beginning to freak out but she couldn't let her parents know. So being the dumb teenager she was she kept it a secret from everyone. She thought she was just suffering from some crazy side effects of a drug and after resigned herself to the reality. It didn't effect her mental faculties or anything so it wasn't all too bad.

Not long after these changes she came after school to find two individuals waiting for her from a prestigious school in New York. They stated that they had been watching her scholastic records and wanted to offer her a place in the school. She was shocked and her inner nerd wouldn't let her turn down the opportunity. She was given a week to collect her things and they would be back to bring her to New York. After being retrieved by the Scholastic board she was explained they weren't really with the school. They were in fact apart of a secret organization known as The Guild. A place for Mages. She thought they were crazy and just some kidnappers trying to sell her on the black market for some disgusting third world prince to use. During her futile attempt to escape they performed magic to keep her from running. She was stunned, having a hard time digesting it all. She still wanted to return home but they wouldn't allow it, they needed to keep her under wraps so no one would find out about her powers. Which she again had a hard time believing.

After arriving in New York and being forced into classes to better learn her powers she realized what she was seeing. Emotions. She could decipher emotions in a color spectrum that leaked off people. The next few years she began to resign herself to her new reality andd develop her powers. No longer only able to read emotions but influence them.[/i][/indent]
