This character is intentionally left vague, with little information about her on the character sheet aside from her basic profile. Tera is important, and a lot can be learned about her if the right questions are asked. Simply put, interact with her! At her best, Tera is an inspirational leader and charitable soul. At her worst, she is oblivious to the real workings of the world and somewhat arrogant. Tera cares for her people, and she wants what's best for them. Unfortunately, Tera is often overwhelmed with the steps she needs to take in order to accomplish her monumental goals. With her father's health in rapid decline, Tera is burdened with the constant pressure of ruling the nation and performing her duties as the crowned princess. History Tera's life was already chosen for her the moment she entered the world. She was to be heir to the throne. Tera was raised not only by her parents, but a handful of servants, advisers, guards, and ministers. Her childhood was always quite limited, never able to leave the castle without an escort of royal guard, never allowed to make any big decisions for herself, and never allowed to choose who she spent time with. Tera had remembered a handful of nobles and kings from other nations coming to visit in order to offer their son's hand in marriage, rather, arrange one. Tera was afraid that one day, she would be taken from her home to go and live as a queen in some faraway land. During Tera's teen years, things took a turn for the worse. Her father had come down with a life threatening illness and he was unable to rule. With a dead mother and no brothers to supersede the line of succession, all eyes had turned to Tera. She wasn't ready to lead anything, but the mantle was forced upon her before she could even prepare for it. In short time, Tera had found herself in war council, talking about things she didn't even know existed. Then, without the leadership of her father, the nation began to fail economically. Tera and a handful of her advisers were quickly set to restoring their financial stability. After four years of tireless work, Tera had finally managed to fill the gaping void that was the empty throne. Despite her title still be princess, many looked to her as their true leader, Queen Tera Valenci. Her father's condition hadn't changed over the years, but Tera had caught wind of a potential solution. A travelling apothecary had arrived one night, hailing from Seren's Folly. He had said that the amulet that the king wore was a powerful relic from Castle Bloodrose, a witch coven's lair. Tera was told that the amulet was cursed, and that her father would remain sick until she brought it back to Castle Bloodrose, and destroyed it with the same magic it was created with. It took plenty of convincing, but eventually, Tera's ministers allowed her to chase after the possibility of a cure for the king's sickness. Tera took her father's amulet, which he always guarded closely, and made for the infamous region surrounding Seren's Folly. But she wasn't going alone, a dozen of the kingdom's best hunters and huntresses left with her to serve as her personal guard and force her way into Castle Bloodrose if she had to.
