She had to have figured that Red-Shorts would definitely have more than a few problems with her and Mira-chan being here, since Tohru was pretty damn certain the chick's tirades and her less to be savored attitude was due to her little...time of the month, but then again, there were some girls who could be an absolute queen b*tch 24/7, so perhaps Red-Shorts fell into the latter category. Like I would really give a damn what Red-Shorts has to say. Tohru muttered inward as response, but outwards to Mira-chan, she gave as sincerely as she could her response, but still a bit of sarcasm on the end, "What? Nah. I don't think you're doing anything wrong, Mira-chan. Besides, Red-Shorts should appreciated us coming to show support for her. It's either that, or next time I'm bringing rotten tomatoes...or cabbages." Whichever would make the bigger dent. Tohru snickered to herself thinking about it, having to admit it was funny, but really she wouldn't think she'd go that far to completely humiliate someone, especially on a grand scale. She was just joking anyways, as usual. Which reminded her....did Rika ever catch on to the rocker's snide cynicism or did she honestly believe Tohru would actually slap the living hell out of her for listening to pop? To each their own is really what Tohru thought about the matter. She didn't really care that Rika wanted to listen to that brain-numbing idiocy people today call good music while Tohru's music was getting trashed and ridiculed all the time. After all, Mira-chan probably listened to it too, along with classical. Looking back again into those beautiful shades of ruby and pink, Tohru smiled, thinking about the girl sitting next to her. The one thing she liked most about Mira was that she was caring and how she made the rocker feel like she was a person, treating her so kindly, being there for her like she really existed. It was hard for her to find something like that, a feeling such as what Mira gave her didn't exist on the streets, a rotting hellhole where no one, not even her own damn parents gave a rat's ass about her, always throwing things at her, calling her a mistake for being born, and even kicking her out of her own home. She could've been dead, another victim of a stabbing, a rape, or just run over by some drunk idiot, and they wouldn't have cared. Hell, they wouldn't have even bothered to show up at her funeral, not as long as it took them away from getting high. For so many years, all Tohru could feel...was nothing, nothing but pain, anger, and hatred towards them, towards everyone really. F*ck the world, if it's just gonna f*ck you over too. She would say to herself many times, growing angrier and more bitter every day she lived upon the streets she grew to hate. But...once she met Mira, all that seemed to change. For once, she could crack a smile across her lips and laugh. She felt happiness....joy return to her heart that was soon to be nothing but a cold and black void of insidious rage and misery. Who knew that just one person....could turn her life around like that? She noticed however while she looked to her dear friend, Mira's cheeks went red all of a sudden and she started fidgeting in her chair. "Eh..you okay there?" She had to wonder...was it her doing. She was making a bit too prolonged eye contact there. Tohru Honada, aspiring musician and an all around badass.....but definitely a hopeless romantic.
