Number 3 sounds more like a tactician or a strategist or a warlord. Rulers are more of a charismatic type, I'd figure, and wouldn't really ever need to be on the frontlines to begin with.

As far as potential for being 'legendary' goes, I'd say the Dark Mage and the Stalker are your best bet, but both those sound more like something with negative reputation, y'know? Sounds like people the Order of the Holy Flame would PURGE WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE.
