When I look at a lot of RWBY OCs or any projects. Every character is so jarringly positive even if bad shit has happened to them. 

So controversially, I wanted to make a character that could grow, that has many flaws, even when they can be seen as rational. A Self made person would be insecure, like what guidance would they have? They are doing the best they could with what they had. 

And so I get to look at the OCs and see all these conflicting traits from other people -- as in people that would conflict with him... I love it because it will encourage some form of growth. Weather it be understanding, or appreciation, or opening up. 

So to be told it was good in a PM, even if not openly, made me very optimistic. I just wanted to do something complex, while exploring the themes of inadequacy and perceived adequacy. It would have more ground and depth than. "He is just a gay dancer who is also a healer." XD
