Tag: [@Holy Soldier] Open In the empty fields outside of Ginger Town, a martial artist clad in blue was performing a series of intense Katas. Yang Wuxin, though he traveled from town to town, usually preferred to spend his freetime outside of city limits, where the fields were wide, open, and there was plenty of space for him to train without reservations. This was one of those such days, as he performed multiple katas in a blur of motion colored blue by his chosen garb. "Haaa!!" Yang raised his voice, his ki reaching its current limit as he focused as much of it as possible into a double palm-thrust. The power of the move, combined with intensity of Yang's Ki, caused the strike to produce a small gust of wind in its wake that made the blades of grass bend in opposite directions. But whatever Yang had planned next was interrupted when a sick feeling suddenly jolted through his body, "What the?" he shot his gaze to the Southeast, in the direction of the West Capitol and Parsley City beyond it. At first it looked like nothing, but then a horrific flash lit up the sky in the distance, producing a huge flash of yellow Ki. It had to be Ki, that was the only thing that could alert Yang's senses so strongly from that distance. "That Ki... it's so monstrous!" he said to himself, feeling his body tremble as a natural reaction to feeling such raw power. He remembered that the Master had once told him stories of Gods and Demons with the power to wipe out entire cities in such displays. But those were only stories! Myths and legends, how could such a horrific power actually exist? In all this, Yang's own Ki had remained raised. Such a thing had to be stopped! Whatever could cause such horrible destruction was a threat that needed to be dealt with! But could Yang's Ki, so meager in comparison, even hope to measure up to such a force? Yang swallowed hard, and then forced himself to stop trembling. Fear and panic wouldn't solve anything, instead the wise course of action was steel himself and prepare for whatever monster was waiting within the aftermath of the blast. He floated up several feet, preparing to launch himself into full flight, but then his eyes widened in horror as he spotted a figure high above staring down at him! Before Yang could even process this, the alien stranger materialized in front of him. He looked at Yang, his green skin and strange armor serving as dead giveaways that he was not of this world. "Hmph." the stranger scoffed, pressing some button on his head that caused a strange visor to appear over his eyes. Alien symbols that Yang had no understanding of appeared on the visor, "So not all the vermin on this planet are pathetic after all." the visor vanished from the alien's face and he made a motion that caused cracking sounds to come from his neck, "Looks like I'm starting with you." "Just try it!" Yang shouted, trying to show some bravado but inwardly he knew this stranger could crush him easily. That was no excuse to not try, at least. Yang launched himself into an attack, attempting a sweeping kick aimed for the side of the alien's head. But by the time Yang's leg made contact, there was nothing there. Instead the alien seemed to materialize directly to Yang's side before thrusting his knee into Yang's gut. Yang let out a painful grunt but suddenly felt something squeezing his throat. "What's wrong, vermin?" asked the alien, his lips forming a wicked smile, "Trouble breathing? If you need air just speak up." he leered at the Earthling, knowing full well he'd get no verbal response. Yang struggled to speak, to breath even. If he didn't do something soon he was a dead man. He grasped the alien's wrist, instinctively trying to wrestle himself free, but then had a desperate. He let go of the alien, then put his hands closer to his own face and with whatever breath he could struggle to get he said, "Taiyoken!" "Taiyo wha-" but the alien was interrupted by a blinding flash of light coming from his opponent's body, "Argh! What the? I can't see!" he let go of Yang, instinctively clutching his face and trying to rub the blindness out of his eyes, "What the hell did you do to me, you scum?!" Yang coughed and wheezed to get back his breath. He didn't have long, so he had to make this count. He rushed right to the alien and pointed his finger at his forehead, "Dodonpa!" and a yellow beam of superheated energy was produced from Yang's finger tip right into the alien's face at point blank range. Even with such a higher Ki level, a surprise attack like that would make anyone flinch. The alien lurched backward and finally his vision started coming back to him. But to Yang's horror, the alien revealed that even at point blank range the Dodonpa only put a minor scratch on him, one that immediately began healing itself. "What? What the hell are you?" Yang asked in surprise, but he never got his answer. Even though he only annoyed at the alien at best, this still seemed enough to make him angry. In an instant the alien struck at Yang again, but this time a razor sharp bone extended from the alien's forearms that stabbed Yang right through the left side of his chest. In shock and even unable to speak, Yang's face remained in a horrified expression before the alien laughed a bit and flung the warrior down to the ground. "For someone so weak you actually managed to piss me off a bit. You should feel pride, vermin. Not many of my opponents can say that." and with that, the alien disappeared into the distance. On the ground, Yang lay in a rapidly forming pool of his own blood. He would have died that day, and by all accounts he probably should have. But Yang was nothing if not persistent, and his life hadn't quite left him yet. However, he was struggling to remain conscious, and as that began to wash away, the visage of a cloaked old man appeared in front of him before unconsciousness washed over him.
