When Ylva was 10, she was planning on going to a camp in the north of Norway. Two whole weeks of living with the Sami people and their reindeer. She had backed out at the last minute, afraid of leaving home and her familiar surroundings. 
Ylva has never forgotten how much she regretted letting her fears hold her back, which has fueled her drive to meet every adventure head on.

Ylva sometimes hears things that no-one else can hear. Her best friend knows this and thinks Ylva has a psychic talent. Ylva is not so sure she's anything special, but agrees it is weird.

[4] Ylva is no nerd, but she’s never had a problem with learning and improving her mind. She likes to read and is curious about everything, which makes learning even easier.

[3] Ylva is way more courageous than she gives herself credit for. Things often worry her, or throw her off, but she doesn’t let this stop her. She has decided to be brave but doesn’t always feel it.

[2] Ylva has not been tested in this field. She is no coward and can take a punch (or a tumble) but has no reason to believe she is stronger than the next person.

She has problems identifying emotions and two people trying to hide that they are dating won’t get any trouble from her. She does have an eye for detail, though, and is usually perceptive in ways other people don’t expect.
