Jonah is considered handsome to some if not most of the people he met. He wears simple and comfortable clothing, usually consisting of buttoned up shirts under coats or cardigans and a pair of slacks or jeans. He wears a pair of dark rimmed glasses, and almost never leaves without it. He gives off a relaxed and almost solemn vibe, saying much of about the type of person he is; a sad and contemplative man.
The Soul
Likes: -coffee, drama and mystery novels, vintage movies, art, staying in, rainy days, flowers, adventures, jokes, carefree people Dislikes: -waking up late, wasting time, really loud parties, hang overs, writers block, extreme heat, loneliness Positive Traits: -Hard working, Driven, Level headed, Creative, Sensitive Negative Traits: -Glum, Reserved, runs away from confrontations, Emotionally distant, Perfect Date: He likes it old school so probably dinner or coffee dates, and since it's familiar territory. Though he wouldn't mind doing something spontaneous for a change, Jonah lowkey likes surprises, since to him it makes the moment all the more memorable. That's to say he wouldn't mind a late night drive to the country, or an impetuous skinny dip on the beach after a night of drinks. God knows he needed some little fun in his life. Worst Date: Someone he could not connect with on a certain level, people who are unreasonably rude or when he is candidly insulted. He doesn't like being left out, specially when a planned date is somewhere social, e.g clubs, etc. Skills:

Can drive. Has a car.

The Story
Jonah wasn't getting the needed surge of ideas he wanted on his novel. He sat there on the screen, page still empty with a single line clicking at the edge of the white screen, as if waiting for some sort of magic to happen. He glanced at the upper side of his screen, 3 am. His frustrations only escalated at the thought, he wasted precious time yet again. He can only take off his glasses to massage his temples, hoping to ease the evolving migrane. It had nearly been a year since he tried to start on this, and all ending up at the same predicament. He's starting to think that he could never find the creative flow to ever work again. Probably because of the stress he was having the past year, with the divorce and all. And he's trying his best to move on the only way he could; by writing. In between the the sad and dramatic novels he used to pen, he needed a different formula, as per his publisher's request. And with his current mental status, coming up with something new only paved way to failure after failure. It's as if something else in him, the element to write again, like a piece of his creative engine, was still somewhat missing. Jonah took a deep breath, followed by a sip of his now room temperature coffee, cringing at the unwelcoming tinge. While staring thoughtfully into the empty horizon, he caught a glimpse of a piece of glossy parchment on the coffee table. Earlier that afternoon Ingrid, her sister, stopped by for tea and curiously, handing him one of these printed ads for a match making campaign of some sort. "If this gets you out of the house more often, I'm definitely making you try it." His sister is shameless with these crazy things yet persuasive enough to get him to try it. He had been lonely for quite a while now, and God knows he needed some good old fashioned mingling. His thoughts came back to his ex wife, the woman he once and probably still loves now out of reach and moving on with her life as she should, had only brought back a strong bitterness he had felt in the past years. He wanted to get rid of it, somehow. And maybe, just maybe, this program will cure his ails. Jonah took a second glance at the parchment, as if internally struggling if he were to take his sisters advice, elbows resting on the arm chair, tensely nipping his thumb until he stood up and grabbed the piece of flyer on the table.
