Once Crow had finished the contents of the jar, Penelope stashed away the empty container into her pocket for the time being. She let out a soft sigh as he leaned his head back against her arm and assured her that it wasn't her fault. "I know...I just wish I could have gotten him to leave before he even tried anything." she mumbled. Her gaze shifted down to check on his bandages again, looking for signs of blood. However, she didn't see any like when he had busted his stitches from coughing so she relaxed a little more now. If he had bled from Layth's cruel method of questioning, it hadn't been enough to bleed through the bandages. Though just because the stitches likely hadn't busted, that didn't mean Crow hadn't received any damage. She hoped that whatever damage had been done could wait until his pain died down. With him on the painkiller, she was a bit reluctant to go get Jane now that he didn't seem to be in immediate danger. Both because she didn't want the physician finding out about the painkillers as well as worrying that Layth might change his mind and come back. He was in a lot of pain though.. she thought with a frown as she looked back to him as she weighed out going to get the physician. As he thanked her, the knight gave a small smile before leaning down to press a kiss to his forehead. "Of course... Though I hardly think you should be thanking me after it was my own brother who did this.." she mumbled with a small frown as she looked down at him. Penelope let out a soft sigh and brushed his hair back with her free hand while she let him rest against her arm a little longer. "I might go get Jane still.. But I want to see how the painkiller effects you first."
