I mean Elizabeth of York, the Queen to King Henry the 7th and married into the Tudor house, unifying the York and the Lancaster households and ending the War of the Roses. I always called her Elizabeth of Tudor because she was the original Elizabeth of Tudor. That's a regional thing, sorry. And Elizabeth the 1st wasn't a bastard...Anne was Queen Consort and she was married to Henry the 8th when Elizabeth was born so under the Church's eyes she was a legitimate heir. Which didn't even matter in the end because Queen Mary of Scotland got the throne anyways haha
I never mentioned Elizabeth of York. I mentioned the bastardization of Elizabeth. And yes, the Church did see Elizabeth as a bastard because the Church was created by Henry the 8th so he could divorce his wife, Catherine. Thus, because Henry named her a bastard, the Church saw her as one. Queen Mary was, as I said before, also Henry's daughter that he named a bastard. So technically, Mary was not of Scotland (if you're looking at it from your angle.). Anne may have been married to Henry at the time of Elizabeth's birth, but because she could not bear a son and thus breaking her promise to Henry, Henry wanted to get rid of her. He said she was sleeping with many lovers, including her own brother, and that Elizabeth was not his. SO SHE WAS NAMED A BASTARD AND SENT AWAY TO LIVE IN THE COUNTRY WHILE HER MOTHER WAS BEHEADED. Mocking me, miss; when you have not presented anything true to the table is completely uncalled for and now you have angered me. I know all of this and more because of my huge fangirl heart for the story of Anne and Elizabeth. I don't want to continue the arguement, but being uninformed about what is true and what isn't and then mockingly laugh about it is quite rude and inconsiderate. I am a very kind person, but when people mock me or try to outsmart me on something I know and then laugh, I get angry.
