Mia studied him as she waited for the thief to respond, noticing his stoic expression waver slightly. Though he didn't display it, the baroness could easily guess that their decision had struck some fear into the thief. After all, he'd have to be insane for it not to. She folded her arms as he finally spoke up to challenge her. The baroness thought his words over for a brief moment before merely shrugging. "Most of what you've done to 'help us' was out of your own personal interests momentarily lining up with ours. And the one thing I believe that you have done selflessly was saving my lieutenant, which I believe has been paid off in plenty. You're alive and being treated by a physician, which covers whatever debt you believe we owe you in my opinion... I've even continued to let Penelope assign you easy guards rather than the ones her brother would have chosen." Mia pointed out with a glance over her shoulder towards where Philip had left. She did believe was a bit brutal but perhaps, brutal was necessary. Especially when they were caught in the middle of a war. "Regardless of all of that, there's still the other crimes that you have committed that can't be ignored." she added as her gaze landed on him again. Her dark eyes narrowed slightly. "Recent help aside, we have a war to focus on and win. We can't risk letting a thief like you simply go free when you're still a threat to us. At least in losing your hands, you will not be killed, which you should be thankful enough for considering how many want you dead. However, if you have any more fitting ideas for your own punishment that assures the safety of my camp, I'm all ears."
