Honestly though, I played the first few RF titles when I was still experimenting to find the sort of games that most appealed to me. It seems that I do not have the knack or patience for farm simulators as I could have, but the approachable fantasy backdrop appealed to me, and the RPG action element didn't hurt either.

Appreciate the interest, really. And yeah, the farming isn't for all, but the rpg side meant you could avoid the farm for a long time if you wanted, and only work in there for quests. Though it was also a good idea to invest in farming, at least in RF4, to have more materials for stuff.
