Yeah I really loved the reveal that the online stuff is just bad LN Isekai power-levelling bullshit with like daoist flavored mechanics instead of pure video game RPGs mechanics. 

I was hoping for it be more like a very recursive ouroboros of like similar tropes that have been anime-fied being retaken and re-assimilated along with other nonsense producing an interesting and incestuous. 

So basically I was expecting self-insert trash but at least with like some different aesthetics and at least big dumb fight scenes cribbed from battle shonen comics. But no, none of the comic adaptations or novels I skimmed even give you fun fight scenes, it's just grinding and having the protags flex on others with no stylishness.

But then I realized I already have what I wanted in the forms of two works. Giant Robo and G Gundam which adds giant robots to the mix and is actually pretty rad.
