Magic itself is a phenomenon primordial to the world just like gravity or magnetism once natural to humans yet became aberrant in nature, over the course of humanity's existence. Coming as punishment for the hubris of mages who sought godhood by dominating magic and thus control over reality itself, causing a civil war between themselves. With the Resistance winning, these tyrants were took down from power but at the damage afterwards caused the sundering of what the magical world is today.

Individuals who have the capability to tap into the force of magic are known as mages. But besides that designation, they are split into two major groups that branch out into numerous paths which explain how they are able to acquire their ability to tap into that power.

Those who study the art of magic from the fundamentals and up are known under many names, being the scientists of magic as they use their knowledge to manipulate it. They lack the instinctual ability to control magic and instead use pre-established methods as their foundation before building upon it with their own experience over time. From witches to wizards, priests to warlocks, these mages have many names for themselves around the world but the fact still remains true that they can use magic. With Vincent finding himself in this group.

There are also those who naturally possess the affinity to utilize it within their blood. These individuals are known as sorcerers who possess that inborn talent that comes from their ancestors who were supernatural. They are able to use magic with just their instincts and they do not have to learn the fundamentals of magic but rather what drives their ability to use it instead.[/indent]

Vincent himself doesn't care much for the politics of the mundane or supernatural so long as they do not forcefully impose themselves on him. A privilege one could say for a mage who can mostly go undetected in normal society, but that doesn't mean he is apathetic to what they are doing. As he himself values the secrets hidden within the dark, there are skeletons in the closet that are better left in the dark rather than exposing them to the light. As there are already enough problems as is with the world now publicly aware of the existence of 'supernaturals' both for the mundane and supernatural, but what has happen is already a fact for their reality. It is now up to them to take their situation and make the most out of it.

With the former are known as the 'subtle' arcana and the later identified as the 'gross' arcana due to the nature of how they work.

Alexander is trained in the art of manipulating spaces and boundaries, capable of preforming a myriad of things such as setting up barriers of various properties, warping space to make the inside bigger, teleportation and much more. With knowledge and experience of a person who has solidified their craft, while he is no grand master or archmage, he has considerable mastery. Being a very versatile individual than what others may expect, he is a force not to be taken likely by any supernatural. [/INDENT][/INDENT]
