By all rights, her 5’5 height is the textbook definition of average height for an adult female, which she is in every way that counts. Her body is what most would call lean. She doesn’t have the curvaceous figure that most guys (and girls) nowadays seem to crave, though that isn’t to say she doesn’t have a well-rounded figure. It works for her and that’s honestly what matters most to her. The lean muscle all around gives her exactly what she needs. She has an a-line/bobcut hairstyle in which her typically back-length hair falls around her neck in a perfect, complimenting way. Her bangs do not cover her dazzling green eyes. Ava’s the kind of woman who doesn’t really stand out in a crowd. When she wants to be, that is. She could certainly glam it up should the need require it. Coming from the family that she does, there’s a certain flare that she has. That being said, she tends to look at average as she possibly can. Her morning routine has nothing to do with putting on excessive amounts of makeup but more so having to do with her making sure she doesn’t look like a complete wreck. A bit contouring here and there, some blending to hide the bruises from her nightly activities and she’s ready to go about her day as she always does. This woman who grew up with the prim and proper is a walking contradiction because of her body ink and what piercings. She has a pattern of rainbow-colored stars going from the top of her right shoulder blade down to her elbow. On her back, similarly following the star/freedom/independent theme her tattoos have, she has a flock of birds going from the left-top of her shoulder to her mid-back that meet another flock of birds at the center of her back that displays an orb of light that symbolizes the purity within her. Along her inner, left forearm, she has a tattoo of Snoopy on his house because she loves Charlie Brown. Lastly, she has a tramp stamp from when she was eighteen that was the marking of her freedom from her hell on the west coast. It is, of course, a butterfly because a then-legal adult Ava was clearly so original. As for piercings, she has five: her two ear lobes, belly button, nose, and right eyebrow.
▼ | ATTIRE |
Suffice to say, in accordance with Ava’s rather colorful personality and her choice of physical accessories, her fashion sense makes sense for the kind of woman she is. Partly classy and partly flirty, Ava manages to find a nice balance between what is appropriate and what is fun. She dresses for the occasion-specific events and meetings, of course, but the typical outfit she tends to wear consists of a skirt of some kind skirt, a top that isn’t exactly conservative, her black leather jacket that her Uncle Andreas gave to her when she was sixteen, and always some kind of headwear, which is most commonly a beanie knit cap of either dark blue or black color. Shoes are also occasion-specific.

⫸ P S Y C H O L O G Y ⫷
"I’m not saying I’m a bitch, but fuck you and your prissy, little tights."
▼ | PERSONALITY TRAITS |
Adventurous ♦ Fun-loving ♦ Independent ♦ Compassionate ♦ Protective ♦ Energetic ♦ Creative ♦ Strong Sense of Justice/Right and Wrong ♦ Witty ♦ Sarcastic and Snarky ♦ Iconoclastic ♦ Stubborn ♦ Aggressively Antagonistic ♦ Reckless ♦ Rude ♦ Arrogant and Opinionated ♦ Impatient
There’s a lot to consider for Ava as a person. Her first impressions tend to be one of the most important things about her. It may depend on the situation and whether or not her impression of you is positive or not. If she likes you, then congrats! It’s likely she won’t be a total bitch to you and will be pretty relaxed and engaging with you, but if she doesn’t, then look out: if there’s one thing Ava Mossos is not with those who she deems an annoyance, it’s being nice. On the contrary, she’ll be the biggest bitch ever imaginable. There’ll be a constant onslaught of smartass-like comments coming from her mouth and passive-aggressively directed at you it’ll appear like she’s targeting you from the get-go, which that could very well be the case. She has been known to be too antagonizing. Maybe it comes from the fact that she refuses to take shit from anyone or how she lets what she thinks is humor get in the way of realizing it’s just flat out meanness towards another human being (meta or otherwise). Though she is clearly a handful at first glance, warm up to her and she’ll cool it with you. Ava has a complicated sweetness about her so if she is standoffish, that just means she’s testing the waters before handing anyone the lifejacket so that they can survive in the rough waters of the Ava Ocean. When in her company, anyone will be able to notice just how much of a free spirit Ava Mossos really is. She has a certain energy about her that, if not provoked to the point where she’ll slide her leg straight up your ass, she’ll be the best damn time you’ll have (take that with what you will). She’s creative in more than just the artistic sense. She knows how to have a good time without it involving any kind of sex. She can think of unique ways to spend her free time, though don’t fight her on it (or anything). She might be a lot of things, but backing down on her ideals or what she’s made up her mind about isn’t one of them. She’ll fight you until you get tired of the same lap around the track that surrounds the field of Ava Mossos. She also doesn’t have the time to wait around for anyone who does do just that. Five minutes is the most she’ll give anyone. Anything past that and she’s a goner. Her layers are often difficult to understand, but knowing how she truly operates will owe anyone the insight into why she does the things she does, which most notably is protecting her neighborhood from anyone who would try and see it harm. Maybe it’s how she always saw powerful people take advantage of the poor or her father’s “family first” values taking charge in her adult life, which that is to say, she adopts those values in ways her father or her entire family for that matter, would be able to comprehend. She has a very black and white sense of justice. Either you’re good or you’re not. When it comes to deciding whether a person is good at heart or rotten to the core, she lets their actions speak for themselves. If someone has the power to do what’s right, she believes it is the obligation of those people to help those less fortunate than themselves. She also stands up for what she believes in no matter what it’ll cost her. And given what she’s been through, she has been more than willing to pay whatever price may come her way.

▼ | SKILLS |
Artistic — As a part-time tattoo artist, Ava is quite skilled with her hands. She knows the fundamentals of drawing and knows exactly when to stay within the lines and when it’s okay to break a few of “art theory”’’s rules. In her free time, she also pens her own comic book series, so she is not only creative in the visual aspect of things, she can also write really well. She has also been dabbling in tagging here and there. So suffice to say, she’s expertly gifted in the creative arts. Knowledge of Other Arts — Growing up in the environment that she did, Ava was enrolled in “self defense” classes at an early age. Her father called it that, but when she later came to know the real reason, he was toughing her up. As a result, from the ages of five to around her departure from the east coast when she was eighteen, Ava was heavily involved in a combo of self-defense and self-offense classes that taught a variety of martial arts: Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, and Kung Fu. And while practitioner knowledge exists in her mind of all of those, the one that really stuck was Karate. She found it to be not only the easiest to get down but once she understood the fundamentals of it, she found herself focusing more on it. And in the thirteen years she had been learning it, she had obtained a black belt before she was eighteen, though, for her own reasons, she quit her lessons when she graduated high school. But despite that, Ava’s knowledge stayed and she has put them to...better uses than what they would’ve been used for had she stayed with her family. Trilingual — In addition to English, being half-Italian and half-Greek, Ava’s knowledge of her ancestral language is far enough to where she can understand and speak in mostly coherent sentences, though she still prefers to speak in English. That being said, she can read Italian and Greek almost perfectly and can translate a majority of phrases commonly seen in the modern dialect. She can also understand some French and Latin, but it’s not really noteworthy so she doesn’t talk much about it. Athletic — She might not be overtly athletic like those building hopping and jumping from cliff to cliff, but with Ava’s high energy personality and background of being involved in a few sports, she has an abnormally-high endurance and physical energy reserves that allow her to do physically-demanding activities for longer periods of time than most would be able to. This applies for her ability to withstand and give damage almost twice as long and much as those similar to her body, build, and gender.
▼ | BACKSTORY |

Though Ava’s introduction into the world took place twenty-four years ago in a high-tense emergency room in The Hills of California, the way her story became didn’t start there. No, the story of her, her older brother, Alexandros, and her parents dates back to when her parents first met. Her father, who was a newcomer in the Athens crime circuit who, at just the young age of twenty, had established himself as a rising star in the Mossos Crime Family, had an once in a lifetime encounter with a young girl with eyes greener than the fields his family estate oversaw. Those eyes and the slightly-pudgy face was what drew a young Baltazar Mossos to who would soon become his wife and mother of his two children. The young girl who was no older than eighteen invited him to sit down at the table she was at outside of a cafe that Baltazar frequented more than any other place that was within walking distance of his “apartment”. The spark between Adrianna and Baltazar couldn’t be denied. From the get go, the two of them felt something. And the more they had coffee and shared meals, the more he found out about her (and the more she found out about him as well). The two had started by just having coffee a few times a week, but then those weeks had turned into months and they soon began dating. It was at this point, Adrianna knew much about his life. She knew he belonged to a crime family. Not exactly the mafia, but his family had mafia ties. And it was during the first six months of their relationship did he find out, much like him, she also had belonged to a family with criminal ties; although, unlike him, her family had cut ties shortly after they first met. Their relationship blossomed in such a way and to such a degree that they were, in every way they could be, lovebirds, tangled up in the chaotic mess their families had created. But they didn’t seem to care. When two people were in love, nothing else mattered. Time went on and a couple of years passed. Adrianna and Baltazar, who by now were close to professing their undying love for each other, hit a roadblock. Their love and the union between their two families came in the form of an argument breaking out between Baltazar’s father, Hektor and Adrianna’s father, Salvatore. And in this argument, a war started to break out, threatening everything Baltazar and Adrianna had come to know. Their dream was now in jeopardy of being forever ripped from their hands. And with it, their relationship soon became something of a taboo love affair. In just six months, a full-out war between the DiVale and Mossos families broke out, putting both families on notice and in the crosshairs. In every war, there were battles lost on both sides, some negotiations were put in place (only to be ruined minutes into them), but none of these moments proved to be the most damaging than the battle that took place outside the Mossos Estate in Athens, Greece. The raging sounds of red-hot gunfire pulsed through the gates and men screamed as they fell victim to death, Adrianna and Baltazar were elsewhere, having their own conversation about how this war between their families was beginning to become too dangerous. Every day that it lingered about, the less likely they were to make it out alive. After some back and forth, Baltazar came to agree with Adrianna. Whether or not he knew it, but that was the moment he subconsciously agreed to leave his home, and flee to the United States of America. He had an uncle that lived there and they’d be safe there while they made a new life. So that’s what they did. The hours that followed, with all the money they could fit into a duffle bag and their passports, Adrianna DiVale and Baltazar Mossos caught the first flight out from Athens to Los Angeles where their new life would begin.

Spending years moving up the ranks of his family’s professional business — Mossos Industries, which served as a front for various shady business deals — Baltazar Mossos was becoming a big figurehead and all before the age of thirty. Meanwhile, his now-wife, Adrianna Mossos (nee. DiVale) had already given birth to four children each two years apart: Alexandros Stefano, Elias Damian, Avalina Brielle, and Gianni Adrian, all of whom were were born in the span of five years. She balanced motherhood with having the title of Chief Financial Officer of Mossos. Growing up for Ava was interesting to say the least. As far back as she could remember, being the daughter of one of LA’s hottest “It” couples was interesting and entertaining. From an early age, Ava always found amusement in the smallest things and she always seemed to enjoy voicing exactly what she was thinking. It didn’t matter if it was at the expense of her older/younger siblings, her parents, the people her parents were meeting, or her friends growing up. Snarky and sarcastic often go hand in hand and when it came to Ava, they were the deadliest one-two combo. But not everyone was a fan. Sure, she had laughs, but after a while, her father grew weary, ired, and he honestly was done with Ava’s hijinks. Around when she entered teenhood, when her father started to go a little stricter with her, as per the usual of any teenager with an overbearing parent, Ava rebelled. If her father or mother said to do one thing, she did something completely different. If he told her to behave, she intentionally would make his life harder for him and really test his patience. If he wanted her to disappear for a few hours, she suddenly felt the need to be at home (and within his line of sight, at that). Basically, during her teen years, Ava did everything she possibly could to make her parents’ lives a living hell. So, what were they to do? They grounded her, of course, but a Mossos grounding wasn’t like the run of the mill one would see in normal households. A Mossos punishment came in the form of a child being locked in their room with two guards ordered to keep said child in there until they were informed by their boss to allow them to exit. This worked for a while, but Ava was - and still is - a crafty, useful girl/woman. If guards were posted outside her door inside the house, she’d just utilize her creative mind by outthinking her father and use the balcony and the staircase just a foot and a half below. There was a time during one of her secret trips that Ava went back inside the house and saw her father go into his study, followed by some shady-looking men carrying briefcases. She tried listening in, of course, but she couldn’t. She waited nearby and soon the men and her father left. All of them were smiling and she wanted to say something, but if she did, she’d be found out. So instead Ava went into her father’s study and did a little snooping. She found herself opening up his safe (she knew the combo) and as it opened, she saw a rather clunky piece of rock. It was red and it glowed. She had no idea what it was, but when she picked it up, she felt some kind of burning sensation flow through her. And then the next thing that she could remember was hearing the words of her father echo so loud in her head that she dropped the rock-like crystal and turned around. His face was furious, but that wasn’t what had her speechless. She saw her father standing in the doorway of his study, but around him, she saw swirls of energy around him that pulsed and vibrated and was as though it was alive. She didn’t know what exactly was happening, but she saw her father was far angrier than she thought he was. His mouth was moving, but the sound was muted and all she saw was that he came approaching her. And instinctually, she reacted defensively by extending her arms, though she closed her eyes. That’s when noise returned and she heard the cries of her mother and siblings as they hovered over her unconscious father but even more to the point, they couldn’t stop staring at Ava as her hands and body glowed unreasonably bright in a hue similar to a turquoise gem. She looked at her hands finally and didn’t understand. Yes, at the age of eighteen when Ava not only discovered there was something different about her, she also discovered that something within her had changed. She couldn’t quite understand it, but she wasn’t going to stick around. The same night she had accidentally attacked her father, Ava took what money that she could and caught the first bus out of California. Over the course of the following seven months, she managed to go anywhere that she could. She went along the west coast and through the northwest, the central west, and eventually found herself in a Florida city called Charity Beach. It was far away from her family, so they wouldn’t dare try and look for her. And it was here she started to be someone different than who she was. Though her reckless nature and rebellious nature persisted, now, as she works part-time as a graphic and tattoo artist, Ava selflessly (though probably as reckless as one can get) offers her talents into protecting the neighborhood that a now-twenty-three-year-old Ava Mosconi calls home.

⫸ P O W E R I N F O R M A T I O N ⫷
"I’ll kick your A and I won’t bother remembering your name."
▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION |
Type-Red — Pure Energy Manipulation
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Typically, the normal human cannot see the strands of pure energy that’s around them. It’s practically invisible to them, but to Ava, she can see it all. The different colors and make of it. She can draw it in from non-living organisms - basically, her surroundings fuel her power. In addition to that, her own natural, pure energy is at her disposal. With the amount of time she has had to hone it and get a grasp of her own abilities, Ava has been able to bring herself to nearly master a couple of core techniques, though the same practice of the generation and manipulation of the energy around her is the core of everything. As it stands, there are three main abilities in which she has been able to master almost to the point of completion and second-nature use. The first of Ava’s learned techniques came rather simple to her. She first learned how to store and release the gathered energy into a condensed, often medium in size, blast. In the beginning, it was the size of a baseball, but her control and growth soon evolved each individual blast to the size of a basketball, though this is not the limit to this particular application of her offensive capabilities. She has evolved it into several other forms of offense including a two-handed blastwave, which is to say she extends both hands and unleashes a semi-wide wave of her own energy at a target (whatever or whoever that may be). Other forms include various forms of thin and thick beams and blasts that are used with either one or two hands (two provide more powerful concussive force while one hand provide a more consecutive usage of said method). Each individual blast/ray has the concussive force of a well-placed punch by a 150-200lbs male while a combined/two-handed blast/wave can hit with enough force to knock a male of above average height and weight out or stun them momentarily. Another comparison would be cracking solid wood or punching a sizable dent into the steel framework of a sedan or a car like a honda civic. Within time, Ava came to know that force and offense wasn’t everything. She needed to defend herself. Fighting skills weren’t enough for her, so she taught herself how to generate an energy force field around herself on whim. It was difficult because the process included her trying to figure out the exact make of it. Good thing she learned real fast. She learned that by creating a bubble around her that involved her manipulating the shape of her energy to, quite literally, wrap around her to deflect most attacks, she could protect herself. And while the first few tries of maintaining it was a challenge for her, being able to produce it whenever she needed was the hardest part (but it was a rewarding challenge). While the mastery still needs some work before she can do automatically without thinking, holding out her hands seems to do the trick and having it on her mind, of course. With minimal focus, Ava’s energy fields can withstand almost all forms of non-weaponry physical attacks and some basic to intermediate elemental attacks. It can withstand a close-range shotgun blast, although repeated shots may be another story. With absolute focus, it’ll take 4-5 consecutive shotgun blasts to pose a threat. Multiple forms of guns and offensive forces may pose a challenge as well. The third and final ability Ava has taught herself is both the wildest and unpredictable one for it is not a technique she has all the confidence in, yet it is the one she seems to have been relying on a lot lately. This ability, to some, is known as Energy Surfing. By focusing the energy around her feet, Ava creates a surfboard of pure energy and she “surfs” the air with it under her. She is able to move around great bounds of distance at equal speeds. It represents the epidimy of her desire to be free as a bird (as well as the ultimate test of her manipulation capabilities).
▼ | LIMITS |
Even as someone who thinks of herself as pretty amazing, Ava does have her limits - most of which are tied to both physical and that within her energy reserves. They do say the state of mind is everything. Chaos produces instability and a sound mind will give anything a stable foundation. This is especially true for Ava. While physically, she can get worn out when she does too much for too long and if anyone can vouch for her tendency to take on too much, it’s the person in her life who looks out for her when she’s in her night job. When she takes on too much energy-wise, she overexerts herself; and when she overexerts herself, fatigue weighs in. Her emotional state can also play a factor, especially when Ava is surfing through the air. Concentration has never been one of her biggest strengths and sometimes she enjoys the freedom too much to consider that she may put herself in danger when it really matters. This could also hinder her ability to make precise blasts.
▼ | WEAKNESSES |
Lack of concentration acts as a double whammy when it comes to limits and weaknesses, but more so, Ava has one glaring weakness in anything she does: her emotions run high. While some might see this as a good thing in some cases when she goes out at night and tries to do the right thing, she puts herself in danger and it is life and death out there. The wrong blast can bring unwanted attention. And keep in mind, Ava’s mental state isn’t the only issue she has. Control and keeping damage done to a minimum is often one of her most obvious weaknesses. In addition, manipulation and generation, it takes a toll on her. While she may be able to do it for short bursts, being able to manipulate energy around her, generating what she needs, and using it more than one form depletes her ability drastically. And knowing her, when she finds herself into a bind, she will rely on two or more of her abilities so that she can subdue the foe as quickly as possible. Of course, the problem with that is Ava doesn’t know the meaning of restraint. As a result, she doesn’t register that she deletes herself to empty in less than an hour of being out in the night. On a side-note, Ava suffers from slight motion sickness. It’s not a severe case, but it can also hinder her at times.
