Penelope gave a small shrug as Crow questioned how he could have slept through everything. The knight hadn't thought about it much with everything going on but she supposed that the god likely played a hand in Crow sleeping through everything. She didn't understand why, especially since they had visited Crow once before with a similar warning about danger. However, there were a lot of things she didn't understand about the gods—like why they had even deemed her worthy enough to talk to—so she supposed it would remain a mystery. At his question she gave a small nod. "It's probably better than staying out here all night." she admitted. The knight wasn't sure if she'd be able to sleep with how overwhelmed she felt but getting away from the pond and back into the privacy of their room at least sounded like a good idea. Penelope slowly got back up to her feet, offering Crow her hand once she was back up. Her gaze shifted away from him to look over at her father. John watched the pond for a moment longer before looking over at them. He studied Crow for a moment with uncertainty in his gaze before looking at Penelope and nodding his head in agreement. "We still have a ways of traveling to go before we reach the castle tomorrow so it's best we get some rest... It's already getting rather late." he mused with a glance up at the night sky. He turned and began to lead the way back towards the inn. Penelope kept close to Crow as she followed after him. She watched her father, glad to see that he seemed to have taken her mother's words about Crow to heart. Though he seemed a bit uncomfortable with them being so close, he at least didn't make any attempts to separate them. She blinked as another thought came to mind and she turned to Crow with a curious look. "By the way.. your mother's name is Madeleine right? My mother mentioned her.. It sounded as if she knew her."
