Penelope watched as Crow grew excited at the mention of his mother. She gave a small shake of her head as he bombarded her with questions. "She just.. mentioned her briefly when she was telling my father to stop giving you a hard time." she told him, her gaze flickering up to the stars above, studying them with newfound curiosity. "It sounded like they've been watching us... and that she was worried. I don't know anything else though." The knight pursed her lips together and looked ahead at her father, who had grown a bit tense as he listened to their conversation. She studied his back for a moment and narrowed her eyes slightly. "Father, you know something about them, don't you? You didn't even question who she was when mother mentioned her." she said. At first she had just thought that the two perhaps bumped into each other while they had been watching over their children but now that she thought about it, it seemed like her father had known Madeleine. John looked over his shoulder at the two and let out a long exhale. "I do." he admitted in a quiet voice. His gaze flickered to the ground, hesitant to explain. "..The night I met your mother,Penelope, I happened to be visiting the outer villages on a mission. She was with Madeleine at a tavern that we stopped at.. I never knew Madeleine very well, we met a couple times I believe, but she was a close friend of your mother. And I don't think even death changed that."
