Penelope gave his hand a small squeeze as he answered her. In all honesty, she was glad that she was able to be there with him as well. It was clearly going to be a bit difficult for him and she wanted to help him as much as she could, even if it just meant giving him whatever moral support she could from the sidelines. As he leaned into her a little more, she pressed a soft kiss to his temple. "I don't know... I think meeting your estranged father for the first time would be difficult for anyone." she mused softly. The knight shrugged her shoulders. "And who's to say your father isn't a bit afraid too? Just because he wants to speak with you doesn't mean he's completely confident." Penelope rubbed her thumb comfortingly over his hand and pressed a kiss to his cheek before pulling back to shoot him a small smirk. "Especially considering his son is the most successful thief in the kingdom. Your father may be the king but surely he's still nervous." John rose to his feet and stretched for a moment before looking over at the two. "Alright, we should start heading for the castle again." he mused then paused, crossing his arms as he looked towards the building from the trees. "You're starting to even make me anxious." he added in a light grumble as he looked over towards Crow. "The sooner it's over with the better."
