Conrad is a man who oozes charisma from every pore. He knows who he is, accepts who he is and doesn’t give a damn whether you like it or not. He is flamboyant, charming and totally reeks of awesomeness. A goofball and a self appointed showman, he loves to laugh, make you laugh and then steal your girlfriend or boyfriend while your bent over giggling. In spite of this, people gravitate towards Conrad and love him all the same.


Maybe it’s the confidence or self assured ness but he is always surrounded by people and is very rarely alone. However this could be due in part to his fear of what might just pop into his head should he ever stop long enough to think about the things he’s done. Despite his amenable demeanour, Conrad is a perfect operative, highly capable of doing what needs to be done; his motto in life has always been “play hard, work harder” and more often than not, those closest to him worry that he will work himself into the ground. He is not one to leave something half done or not give one hundred percent and this can often be a downfall as his tunnel vision tends to stop him from seeing the bigger picture.

[b][color=wheat]Why did you want to become an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.?:[/color][/b] After several years working for the Metropolitan Police and INTERPOL, Conrad was looking for a way out. He had initially planned to go AWOL but on a ferry out of town he was approached by a recruiter who convinced him that his talents would be better suited for more global affairs and soon found himself enrolled at Operation Academy in SHIELD.

[b][color=wheat]General History:[/color][/b]
Conrad Wu was born on a stormy night in Hong Kong, his mother was working for the British Consulate at the time and his father was a financier. The Wu’s moved around a fair amount for the first few years of Conrad’s life as his mother transferred between Consulates, this allowed for the young boy to develop an early skill for acclimatisation and adaption. The family eventually settled in London, England in the quirky borough of Shoreditch though they still often took trips to Asia to see relatives.

It was very early on in his life that Conrad found his passions in life and they were magic and martial arts. His mother always made a point of her son never forgetting his Chinese roots and so she educated him with traditions, movies and shows. The theatrics of it all were what nurtured his showman like persona. He loved the attention and so pursued every avenue he could think of where he could put on a performance, this ranged from acting, singing, dancing and magic. Conrad's father made sure that despite his carefree demeanour his son stayed disciplined. What little time they spent together involved studying, martial arts, hiking and volunteering. The fact that he ended up being two different people with each parent would help the young man out a lot in the future.

Although performing was his first love, Conrad knew that it wasn’t an assured career so he decided to attend college and university, earning a degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology before joining the police aged twenty one. He started out as a neighbourhood bobby before eventually getting into the Flying Squad (a special investigation branch). An exemplary record fast tracked Conrad up the ladder before he was recruited by INTERPOL to help investigate Chinese Triads in the UK. His background as a performer and his Asian heritage made him the perfect undercover operative.

Conrad spent over a year in deep cover, dividing his time between China and the UK and doing things he intensely regretted and dare not speak on, all in the name of what the world defines as justice. After finally being pulled out by his handler, Wu was worn down, burnt out and looking to escape. Afraid that he would bring shame to his family if he quit the police, Conrad decided to go AWOL. He found himself on a ferry bound for France when he was approached by a SHIELD recruiter who had been keeping tabs on him. After much consideration he decided that a role as an Agent of SHIELD might just be the role of a lifetime.  Once he had graduated from the academy, Conrad was thrown right in the deep end and back into undercover work. It was hard but he realised that it was what he had been put on this earth to do. Someone had to carry the weight so that others could shoot it down.
