I recently did my first paid gig working at a convention and I'm going to be using a chunk of my pay to commission artwork of a couple of my characters. I've never done this before, but I know artists like having plenty of references so I need help tracking down a couple of things.

Things I have refs for or can prepare on my own:
-Clothing
-Weapons
-Colors
-symbols

Things I need refs for:
-body type (proportions and physique_
-face shape and traits (eye shape, nose, mouth, etc)
-hands/feet
-hair styles

If anyone here regularly hires or makes commissions and knows where to find reference images for these things -or can think of anything I might be missing for making a proper commission request- I would greatly appreciate some advice.

Additionally, I could use suggestions for artists who are known to do good anime-esque work as the character(s) I will be purchasing artwork for are original characters for the web series RWBY. Any advice on hiring an artist is greatly appreciated, even if it is not of the sort specifically requested here.
