She held her pendant necklace in her left hand closed. It was a bit of a simple task of trying to get to sleep but she just couldn’t. Something was in the back of her mind that she couldn’t help but feel a bit helpless in this situation. ”What were the pressures did my mother Rebecca tell me? Something about peer, national and other type of pressures I think...” Diana thought to herself, with a bit of trying to remember what her mother told her. It bothered her that she felt like she forgot the specific other pressure that her mother tell her. She felt like she was drifting into her sleep by the fact of she couldn’t keep her eyes opened. Therefore, she drifted to sleep, even though sleeping on the hard floor wasn’t a great place to sleep at the time. She missed a bed, however, the injured people were supposed to sleep on them. It was pretty much a common courtesy to follow certain things to the letter. That usually means orders or degrees by her mother specifically. She talked in her sleep by saying. “Mother I hope you aren’t mad at me.” Diana spoke in her sleep. After that specific what she said not loud enough for someone to hear if they weren’t walking by her.

This was a time when Diana was 11 years old, which had been pretty much spoiled big time by been given her new favorite thing in the world. The pendant necklace, which she wears around her neck because it has her mother and father’s pictures in it. It was a beautiful necklace and she was showing it off to her older sisters, Astra and Susan. Astra was only 15 years old and couldn’t help but gaff at the naivety of her younger sister Diana. Susan elbowed Astra in the most subtle way by stopping her from going out on Diana. ”Mommy and Daddy gave me this pretty necklace as a birthday present.” Diana said, cutely. She was so happy by this gift it matches her older sister’s necklaces, which have the same pictures in it. Susan rolled her eyes at her the youngest of them and couldn’t help but laugh at Diana. ”Seriously? You are being more spoiled than us around your age. It’s kinda a pain in the ass you know that Diana.” Susan said, with a tone to her voice. She pulled off her pendant necklace from her neck and showed the material of it. It wasn’t silver like, Diana’s pendant necklace but it was copper. It kinda pissed Susan off that Diana got the silver necklace that she always wanted. ”You got what I wanted for so long, this family dynamic is bullshit. The Vastergoth Family gave up everything specifically for this middling existence.” Susan said, with a bit of venom to it. However, Susan has like 75% of her friends are Darscens and she vehemently defends them with all her soul because she’s a Vastergoth. It makes her wonder why Astra has no Darscen Friends, and only sticks with the other Edinburghians. Diana didn’t quite understand what her older sister specifically meant on gave up everything. ”What do you mean, Susie?” Diana asked, curiously. However, she could hear the venom from her sister’s voice specifically towards her and the gift she got compared to hers. It wasn’t obvious in what her sister meant. Susan smiled specifically when Diana said Susie, since she usually goes by that by her friends or enemies. Either or really works in that favor really, but she got up and smacked Diana’s face pretty hard for not understanding what she meant. ”It is pretty easy in what I mean, we gave up riches to be the alike everyone else in the Middle Class. Because of the fact we were tired of fighting the Donster Family. Even though it seems like they still haven’t stopped their vehement hate towards us for protecting their ‘targets’ the Darscens. I wonder if that family will ever change their ways for being pricks and being the butt of everyone’s joke.” Susan said a bit annoyed at Diana. It was the first time she hit one of her family and it felt a bit good for smacking spoiled little brat in the face. However, she eyed Astra in more or less a similar way. ”Astra, you also need to start making Darscen friends… or mother might yell at you again for hanging out with the wrong crowd.” Susan said with an orderly tone of voice. Astra blinked and she knows Susan knows, that she’s been hanging out with the definitely the wrong crowd in Castleton. ”Alright, Alright.. I will try to get some Darscen friends… Because I am getting sick of being yelled at by Rebecca for that reason. Also, why did you smack Diana? And wait… what the Vastergoth Family used to be helluva rich?” Astra asked curiously. It made her a bit more understanding in why Susan smacked Diana in the face. However, all she did was laugh at Diana for being smacked by Susan. ”God damn… Diana you are worthless.” Astra said. This was going to be her new usual saying in saying hi or bye to her younger sister from now on. Diana fell on her back because of how hard Susan smacked her on her face. It caused her to cry and tears started falling down her cheeks. She couldn’t handle the fact she was literally told that her family used to be rich but Rebecca sat her down and told her this specific thing already. However, in how Susan told her was a bit mean and cruel with how she said it. ”No, I am not worthless, Astra. Uhh, mommy already told me the reasons why we stopped being rich, Susie. I hope you learn the finer lessons mommy was telling us in why our family dynamic is how it is.” Diana said, with a pretty large red mark on her cheek. She couldn’t help but cry at the fact that Astra literally told her that she was worthless. Susan blinked when she heard Astra and Diana speak. It caused her a bit of a headache, which was pretty much how she usually gets when people tell her something from Rebecca. She shrugged her shoulders and outright walked away from the conversation because she disliked hearing that her little sister was pretty smart. ”Diana… I hope you die in some forgotten war because fucking hell you are too smart for this family. Astra, I don’t believe you, have to prove to me that you actually meaning what you say. Because should I tell Rebecca about your crush?” Susan questioned to Astra but showing the vehement hate towards Diana. Astra heard that and was shocked to hear that specific from Susan’s mouth that she wishes Diana would die in a war, which is forgotten. ”Damn… Susan do you have to be so cruel? And no I don’t want you to tell mother about my secret crush… it would piss her off immensely.” Astra said. Astra ran after Susan since she dislikes the fact, Susan is smarter than Diana but doesn’t understand the dynamics of this family at all. However, she dislikes the family dynamic too since the younger you are the more spoiled you become. The family dynamic in keeping you on the side of the parents is a pain in the ass, for Astra. Diana was the reason for her naivety towards her large patriotic and her dream-like world of defeating the Federation’s enemies, the Imperials. However, it would get so much worse the older she is, but she didn’t know it at the time since it was much simpler times. But the outright vehement hate that Susan showed towards her made run to her room and cry herself to sleep in a comfy bed. It was pretty much the reason for bad relationship between her two older sisters. It showed that Susan & Astra was against Rebecca’s family ideals totally. Which was a pretty much the reasons why she dislikes why they are so mean to her. However, a year later the mean nature of her sisters would get worse from this single incident. Because she was even more spoiled on richness of happiness over richness of wealth. However, this specific thing showed a dynamic shift of her eldest sister Susan, she wasn’t as mean to her as Astra was. But she was still a bitch.

Diana was crying in her sleep, which was a bit more likely since having that dream of simpler times, when she was only 11 years old. It was the first time her eldest sister Susan ever hit her in the face, but it would be the last time too. She was grateful at that at least, it gave her a smile in her sleep even though they were still a bit mean to her. ”Susie and Astra, I will show you sisters. But I wonder who was Astra’s Secret Crush… all those years ago though.” Diana thought in her sleep, while gently breathing in and out while sleeping. Something would have to give to make her truly hate her sisters, even though she wished they weren’t as mean to her. But Astra, her elder sister was a cruel bitch lately, she meant it. In terms of specifically what Susan said but about a known war instead, with what Astra said to her. She could hope her Astra and Susan’s relationship could get fixed but the likelihood of that is slim since she’s so far away from them in a battlefield she was conscripted for. However, in the back of her mind it was still curious in what that mask is for. ”I really hate not knowing. But why would the higher ups give us information? About that mask...” Diana thought to herself, in her sleep. It wouldn’t wake her up since she was sleeping soundly even though her back would probably be hurting in how she’s laying down.
