The impact of the round against his side had knocked all the breath out of him, even though the bullet itself had shattered against his skin, leaving no wounds other than a large bruise and a large hole in his hoodie and shirt. As he felt himself get lowered to the floor, the Man in Black hissed a question his way. He attempted to shake the haze of confusion from his head as he sat up, bracing himself with a hand while he rubbed his side where he'd been shot. "I- I should be asking you that question, mate! You're the one getting shot at! Bloody hell, that hurt!" Alex stumbled onto his feet, keeping behind the wall for now. He didn't know where the other attackers were; clearly the Man in Black had better senses than he did, but he could tank a lot more damage. With his handkerchief still wrapped firmly around the lower half of his face, he took a quick peek out from behind the wall. "Doesn't matter- I can take more hits than you can, probably. Bullets bounce right off me, although big ones like that can knock me on me arse. Why don't I hop out there and draw them out for you?" And without waiting for a reply, Alex stepped out from behind the wall, cracking his knuckles as he walked forwards out from behind the boathouse. He could hear another commotion directly in front of him, although he couldn't see the villain headed straight for him due to the shadows of the trees in the park obscuring his sight. Instead, he planted his feet firmly on the pavement and raised his arms up in a traditional boxing stance, ready to intercept anything that headed towards him.
