The path wasn't too difficult, the trees of golden and red swaying gently in the cold air. Finding where they had come from, was easy. Much of the muddy ground and been disturbed. Hooves from horses digging deep into the soggy. Their hasty retreat made their path obvious. Broken branches and brambles easily marked the path they had retreated from. She was glad to see Kuri safe from mischief and wasn't currently getting up to any good. What wasn't good though, was the silence this forest had. The Necromancer could take a cue from this forest, Aelsu mused silently. Not a peep from any animal it seemed. Aelsu didn't know much of actual hunting, tracking or survival. Never got the chance to really explore such things. She had made an attempt to learn with the order before coming here, but she was by no means an expert. Even so, she knew such a silence well. The silence one feels while standing in front of the gate to the fighting pit. A muted, uneasy silence that only brought danger after. "This place is too silent." Aelsu hefted her spear, resting it on her shoulders as she frowned beneath her helmet, taking a slow, cautious pace into the forest, following the obvious path the scouts had left behind. "Kuri. Stay close and be ready." Continuing forward, Aelsu kept her ears alert for any sign of danger.
