[@PaulHaynek] John waited for Talia to respond. Her voice caught him off guard. He could hear her footsteps as she approached. These footsteps certainly hinted toward her size before John even saw her. When she had showed herself, John's poker face was put into overdrive. She was certainly tall, not as tall as John expected considering her kind were part of the giant family. He waited for her to finish talking before he would speak up. In all honesty, he wasn't really sure what to say. One wrong word and her friendly demeanor could change. She mentioned she was upset and John would hate to see someone of her size on a rampage with so many weapons and tools around her, all of which could likely crack John's head better than the metal they are ment for. "Um....yea...I'm John." He did his best not to sound nervous. "No need to be formal, just John is fine. As far as visiting you, I was simply told you were around. I'm somewhat of a blacksmith myself. I also do construction and tailoring. I figured you were probably the person I could relate to the most. I'm not here to compare work or anything. I'm sure you are far more talented than me anyway." John glanced around at her work. Some of which John could do better but he assumed those were her on her bad days. "Looking around, I'm kinda questioning why I was asked to join when someone of your talent is here. Certainly gonna make me feel kinda useless but I'll get over it." John wasn't really sure where to carry the conversation. She was the second monster he had seen this close up and the first one he ever went out of his way to talk to. His work always spoke for him but an actual conversation was difficult. "I um...I mean....you have a place aside from the trash where I can out my tools?" Humor was probably the way to go. Best way to get to a blacksmith was to compliment their work and talent. On top of that, if Talia really was stressed, then he hoped this talk would make her feel better. "You said you were stressed. May I ask what about?"
