Not that this changed Fukushu’s opinion that the rain was a good omen. How she looked at it was more akin to the omen being a lot like her mother – cold and forceful, but approachable and inspiring. If the last day of being an academy student was without challenge the young girl would’ve been worried. As the silhouette of the academy came into view, Fukushu’s thoughts were that on her classmates, going through her opinions of how each of them had done the last few years, almost as if she believed she was in a position to judge them and evaluate whether they were good enough to be elevated to the rank of genin. But Fukushu’s arrogance was always one of her biggest flaws; her unflinching views on who should’ve been allowed to graduate with her was just another testament to that. Before she was on the bridge leading to the academy doors she had concluded that the only ones worth the title of genin were Hyuga Hikari, Uzumaki Kiyoshi, Yakushi Tsume, Uchiha Tomoya, and her ultimate rival in that of Sarutobi Seiichi. It wasn’t easy to come to the conclusion that her “sworn enemy” was acceptable, but she could not discredit is skill like she could others. The consideration of her other classmates was a thought she didn’t entertain, though she did believe they would graduate with her despite not deserving it. Konoha wasn’t exactly known for holding people back unless they were completely inadequate. As she ended her mental evaluation of her peers, she looked forward to see said instructor opening the doors of the classroom. She was the first genin to arrive. She smiled wider, because of course she was the first. She was always the best and brightest, no matter what others said. “Sensei! Today's going to be a great day!” She uttered as she moved past him and into the classroom.
