Two lovely ladies traipsed down the converted firescape steps from their modest loft to the street level of the East Village, quietly shuffling along as the morning waned on. They walked hand in hand, laughing and chatting, only pausing to hail a cab. Rita somewhat jokingly opened the door for Lily, who blushed and laughed as she entered and scooted to the opposite window. Rita followed suit and they were headed downtown. As Rita watched New York fly by her window, she felt acrylic nails brush against her neck, and looked down to see Lily teasingly unbutton the collar of her shirt, biting her tongue and giving her lover a playful look. She smiled warmly and carressed Lily’s thighs, just tracing the edge of her American flag tennis skirt as she leaned in to give her a chaste kiss. Their cabby rolled his eyes as he stopped the cab at their destination; a pub that was quite a far cry from their accepting drag bar. They entered without hesitation, still hand in hand, despite a few odd looks from other patrons. They just smiled; Lily knew they wouldn’t do more than mutter, while Rita knew if any of them tried, she could take ‘em.
