Penelope listened as Crow explained his confliction over his father. As they stepped out into the corridor, she swept her gaze over their surroundings before looking back to Crow as he explained how the king had even apologized about the past. The knight gave a small frown as he went on to say how he understood his father for making similar mistakes. She wasn't quite sure if she agreed with that sentiment. Surely whatever mistake Crow had made didn't compare to ruining a woman's life and abandoning her and a child. Albin's history with Crow's mother made her lean towards believing her father's opinion a little more as it was brought up. However, as he went on to mention the offer the king had made him, she felt unsure once again. What reason could the king have for offering him such a title after all? Sure, Crow was talented when it came to languages but she doubted that would be enough to just ignore the reputation he had built for himself as a thief. As Crow met her gaze, she gave a small sigh. "Not really... I mean, I've been serving under him but not directly. When he took the throne, I was already busy working with Mia and preparing to join the battlefront. I've never approached him directly but when he rose to power, not much seemed to change." The knight shrugged her shoulders as she thought about the new king. From what she knew of him, he had gained favor with quite a few nobles and most liked him. Those that didn't were few and her father was one of them. "I guess I just thought of him as another king I had to serve. He didn't seem any different from the last one to me. He was still following through with the war and he didn't change much aside from a couple precautions to make sure the rebellion had been fully taken care of." she told Crow. "I guess I'll have a better idea after I meet with him.." Penelope mused quietly and looked over at Crow. "I'm just as confused as you really.. A lot of nobles like him and I've heard good things but I've also heard your story and how much my father dislikes him." She shook her head and crossed her arms with a thoughtful look. "Maybe you should try asking my father more about it. I don't know how willing he is to speak on the matter but it could be worth it. Perhaps he sees something that we don't."
