Anyways, the ability to take another's happiness or whatever certainly does sound fun. Might I suggest something along the lines of how she's always been able to see people's emotions colored over their bodies through a form of [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia]synesthesia[/url]? And what the Lostman provided to her is the ability to do the color-stealing thing.

Slight thing to consider though, if you REALLY wanna go hard with color metaphors. If you remove colors from something, eventually, I think you'll get white, not black, cause white is (as far as I know) the absence of all color.
