[@Ruler Inc] Ava 2.0 is finally done. I ended up keeping the same power, but I've tweaked it a bit to have it make a little more sense. The history was overhauled somewhat. Hopefully this is acceptable. By all rights, her 5’5 height is the textbook definition of average height for an adult female, which she is in every way that counts. Her body is what most would call lean. She doesn’t have the curvaceous figure that most guys (and girls) nowadays seem to crave, though that isn’t to say she doesn’t have a well-rounded figure. It works for her and that’s honestly what matters most to her. The lean muscle all around gives her exactly what she needs. She has an a-line/bob cut hairstyle in which her typically back-length hair falls around her neck in a perfect, complimenting way. Her bangs do not cover her dazzling green eyes. Ava’s the kind of woman who doesn’t really stand out in a crowd. When she wants to be, that is. She could certainly glam it up should the need require it. Coming from the family that she does, there’s a certain flare that she has. That being said, she tends to look at average as she possibly can. Her morning routine has nothing to do with putting on excessive amounts of makeup but more so having to do with her making sure she doesn’t look like a complete wreck. A bit contouring here and there, some blending to hide the bruises from her nightly activities and she’s ready to go about her day as she always does. This woman who grew up with the prim and proper is a walking contradiction because of her body ink and what piercings. She has a pattern of rainbow-colored stars going from the top of her right shoulder blade down to her elbow. On her back, similarly following the star/freedom/independent theme her tattoos have, she has a flock of birds going from the left-top of her shoulder to her mid-back that meet another flock of birds at the center of her back that displays an orb of light that symbolizes the purity within her. Along her inner, left forearm, she has a tattoo of Snoopy on his house because she loves Charlie Brown. Lastly, she has a tramp stamp from when she was eighteen that was the marking of her freedom from her hell on the west coast. It is, of course, a butterfly because a then-legal adult Ava was clearly so original. As for piercings, she has five: her two ear lobes, belly button, nose, and right eyebrow.
▼ | ATTIRE |
Suffice to say, in accordance with Ava’s rather colorful personality and her choice of physical accessories, her fashion sense makes sense for the kind of woman she is. Partly classy and partly flirty, Ava manages to find a nice balance between what is appropriate and what is fun. She dresses for the occasion-specific events and meetings, of course, but the typical outfit she tends to wear consists of a skirt of some kind skirt, a top that isn’t exactly conservative, her black leather jacket that her Uncle Andreas gave to her when she was sixteen, and always some kind of headwear, which is most commonly a beanie knit cap of either dark blue or black color. Shoes are also occasion-specific.

⫸ P S Y C H O L O G Y ⫷
"I’m not saying I’m a bitch, but fuck you and your prissy, little tights."
▼ | PERSONALITY TRAITS |
Adventurous ♦ Fun-loving ♦ Independent ♦ Compassionate ♦ Protective ♦ Energetic ♦ Creative ♦ Strong Sense of Justice/Right and Wrong ♦ Witty ♦ Sarcastic and Snarky ♦ Iconoclastic ♦ Stubborn ♦ Aggressively Antagonistic ♦ Reckless ♦ Rude ♦ Arrogant and Opinionated ♦ Impatient
There’s a lot to consider for Ava as a person. Her first impressions tend to be one of the most important things about her. It may depend on the situation and whether or not her impression of you is positive or not. If she likes you, then congrats! It’s likely she won’t be a total bitch to you and will be pretty relaxed and engaging with you, but if she doesn’t, then look out: if there’s one thing Ava Mossos is not with those who she deems an annoyance, it’s being nice. On the contrary, she’ll be the biggest bitch ever imaginable. There’ll be a constant onslaught of smartass-like comments coming from her mouth and passive-aggressively directed at you it’ll appear like she’s targeting you from the get-go, which that could very well be the case. She has been known to be too antagonizing. Maybe it comes from the fact that she refuses to take shit from anyone or how she lets what she thinks is humor get in the way of realizing it’s just flat out meanness towards another human being (meta or otherwise). Though she is clearly a handful at first glance, warm up to her and she’ll cool it with you. Ava has a complicated sweetness about her so if she is standoffish, that just means she’s testing the waters before handing anyone the lifejacket so that they can survive in the rough waters of the Ava Ocean. When in her company, anyone will be able to notice just how much of a free spirit Ava Mossos really is. She has a certain energy about her that, if not provoked to the point where she’ll slide her leg straight up your ass, she’ll be the best damn time you’ll have (take that with what you will). She’s creative in more than just the artistic sense. She knows how to have a good time without it involving any kind of sex. She can think of unique ways to spend her free time, though don’t fight her on it (or anything). She might be a lot of things, but backing down on her ideals or what she’s made up her mind about isn’t one of them. She’ll fight you until you get tired of the same lap around the track that surrounds the field of Ava Mossos. She also doesn’t have the time to wait around for anyone who does do just that. Five minutes is the most she’ll give anyone. Anything past that and she’s a goner. Her layers are often difficult to understand, but knowing how she truly operates will owe anyone the insight into why she does the things she does, which most notably is protecting her neighborhood from anyone who would try and see it harm. Maybe it’s how she always saw powerful people take advantage of the poor or her father’s “family first” values taking charge in her adult life, which that is to say, she adopts those values in ways her father or her entire family for that matter, would be able to comprehend. She has a very black and white sense of justice. Either you’re good or you’re not. When it comes to deciding whether a person is good at heart or rotten to the core, she lets their actions speak for themselves. If someone has the power to do what’s right, she believes it is the obligation of those people to help those less fortunate than themselves. She also stands up for what she believes in no matter what it’ll cost her. And given what she’s been through, she has been more than willing to pay whatever price may come her way.

▼ | SKILLS |

Artistic — As a part-time tattoo artist, Ava is quite skilled with her hands. She knows the fundamentals of drawing and knows exactly when to stay within the lines and when it’s okay to break a few of “art theory’’s rules. In her free time, she also pens her own comic book series, so she is not only creative in the visual aspect of things, but she can also write really well. She has also been dabbling in tagging here and there. So suffice to say, she’s expertly gifted in the creative arts. Fighting Capabiltiies — While Ava grew up training in the best Karate Dojo on the West Coast, it has been some time since she has had a proper lesson. And while most of the knowledge has slipped away from her over the years, having to live on the street has kept her alert and she, at the very least, can handle herself in a fight. Will she always be able to take down bigger enemies with her fists? Probably not. If she's against guys who are built like mountains, she's probably dead, but smaller guys and girls will be an easier mountain to climb. Trilingual — In addition to English, being half-Italian and half-Greek, Ava’s knowledge of her ancestral language is far enough to where she can understand and speak in mostly coherent sentences, though she still prefers to speak in English. That being said, she can read Italian and Greek almost perfectly and can translate a majority of phrases commonly seen in the modern dialect. She can also understand some French and Latin, but it’s not really noteworthy so she doesn’t talk much about it. Athletic — Ava's background in high school sports and also being a practitioner of Karate has built up her core. It's so engraved into her memory now that she works out when she can. As a result, her body and what she can do athletically is nothing short of impressive. She is agile, durable, and most of all, her fists pack quite a punch for someone her size, though this does not mean she is invincible. She has a tendency to overexert herself or go harder than she should. So, like a cheetah, though she may go fast and hard, it is only in short bursts. When that happens, recharging is key.

▼ | BACKSTORY |
Growing up as the only daughter of two famous, highly-respected figures in the business world, who both co-headed Mossos Industries that dealt in dealings all over the world. Anything from import/export to brand names, they were on top of it, was hardly a blessing. The only daughter of Baltazar and Adrianna Mossos never thought she was lucky. It didn’t matter that she had access to money and means to get anything she wanted, Avalina Brielle Mossos was hardly ever grateful, especially not when she found out her beloved father she grew up idolizing was just another criminal. Much like his father, uncles, cousins, and every member of the Mossos family was corrupt and vile. Except Ava. For whatever it was worth, she knew she was better than the rest of them: better than her brothers Alexandros, Elias, and Gianni and certainly better than her father. She might’ve rebelled when she was told not to do something. It didn’t matter because she had the energy. She always had excess energy. For whatever, unexplained reason, Ava had always been in possession of not only a knack for sports whether it was track, softball, swimming - if she could run and hit things, she did. The same could be said about how she fit in rather well with the boxing class her father put her in to help her channel all of that excess energy. It was fine because every chance she got, she trained and imagined her father’s face was the punching bag (more into her teens rather than when she was younger). Ava’s dislike for her father only grew the more he tried to control her. It got to the point where, as her brothers became more involved in the family business and she became increasingly against her father that she was placed on house arrest. If it wasn’t school or her lessons, then she was stuck in her room with armed guards watching her door around the clock. If she needed to pee, they went with her to the bathroom. And on one of those trips, she gave them the slip via the bathroom window, climbing down the balcony, and using the staff entrance to the kitchen. On one of the many days she did this, Ava found herself on the opposite end of an eavesdropping conversation that included her silent presence against the door of her father’s study and her father meeting with one of his usual business contacts. They were talking about some projected named “Project Delta”. Not long after the conversation ended, Ava made herself scarce, waiting for her father and his friend left. Like the nosey person she was, after her father left with him (at the time, she overheard him say he was going to leave for an hour), Ava took it upon herself to find out exactly what this Project Delta was. So she went searching, then she did some more until almost a full hour passed and she was left with close to nothing. She saw her father’s “adult entertainment” stash, but nothing about Project Delta. But she kept searching and then she came across a secret compartment under one of the side-drawers apart of his desk. She opened it after having been forced to find the key (she knew where it was, lucky her right?). When she had opened it, she pulled out a square box. Ava opened it and the only thing she saw was a multi-pointed crystal that was clear as the sky. When she picked it up, it weighed no more than one her high school textbooks. At face value, it was just an ordinary crystal, so then why did her father have it stashed away in a locked drawer? Unfortunately, as the sound of the Mossos Manor door had been closed, Ava panicked. She didn’t know if that was her father who had come home, but she didn’t want to find out. She quickly put the crystal back into the box - or so she thought she was going to do. In a split-second decision, Ava had put the empty box where she found it and got the hell out of dodge, and took an alternative route back to the kitchen and back to her room. She wanted to spend more time with the crystal. For some unexplained reason, she felt a calling to it. Later that night, Ava’s life changed in more ways than she possibly could count. Of course, the first was being found out by her father that she had taken the crystal. This was only the smallest of events that happened on that night that changed the course of her life. When a livid Baltazar confronted Ava, they argued. He mainly stuck to the narrative of how the stone was too valuable and Ava didn’t respect his privacy. Ava defended her snooping by claiming the crystal wasn’t an ordinary crystal. She told him she had been getting weird vibes from it and it wasn’t right. They had a few back and forths and both were yelling at the top of their lungs. Ava had shown her rebellious nature by giving everything to him that he had given her as well. It was a heated exchange that hit a boiling point when Baltazar said he had enough of her shit and was going to ship her off to Greece, to live with her family and away from him. And that’s when it happened. Whether it was anger, fear, or her emotions running high (or a mix of all three), Ava snapped. And then she really snapped when, as her father had turned around, then faced her once more, a burst of what appeared to be light came shooting out of her open palms. The burst was warm - like a surge of energy she had always felt deep down and it came rushing to the top in a concentrated effort. That effort had made its home into Baltazar’s chest that sent him through Ava’s bedroom door. Her eyes were wide with shock and her father, who had gotten up, also had his own surprising expression, but unlike Ava’s, it was one of, yes it was also shock, but there was something a little more sinister about it. It was though Baltazar Mossos had snapped. Before long, he had pulled out his phone and said a sentence that Ava remembered being the last thing she ever heard her father say: “Project Delta is not dead. The crystal worked. We can begin tonight!” He then said she would begin a new life in the morning. Until then, he said she should rest as if he was confident she would stay through the night. He was wrong. Ava didn’t wait until the morning to find out what Project Delta was about. She didn’t care to know. If there was ever to be a chance to get away, it was just an hour after her father went to sleep. A foolish thing for him to not leave her room guarded. Ava packed what she could with whatever money she could get from her bank account and she disappeared, took a train to anywhere but LA USA. The former mob heiress was now a runaway teen. For three years, she did what she could to survive: steal, perform acts she dare not speak of, but throughout it all, she came to know that what happened to her wasn’t as bad as she thought it was. The first moments she discovered her abilities, she was afraid of them, but she found people who helped her understand. They were like her. These people were, as the media called them, Metahumans. And they helped her get used to the new abilities she had. She trained with them. She learned from them. And, when the time came, she moved on from them. Ava’s journey went from the Washington town of Baybridge to a South Florida beach city named Charity Hill where, thanks to the friends she met, she was able to get set up with a job working as a Tattoo Artist. As much as she was thankful, it wasn’t enough. Ava felt like she had to do more than just survive. So she did just that. In addition to having her day job, Ava moonlighted as a Protector of Life. Corny as it may seem, that’s exactly what she started to do since she made this decision six months ago. At twenty-three, Ava uses her abilities to do what she can and help those that the government can’t help. This is Ava’s life now. Ava Mosconi, a woman now content with her life, tries to do right as though she’s trying to make up for what her father has done to where before she ran away.

⫸ P O W E R I N F O R M A T I O N ⫷
"I’ll kick your A and I won’t bother remembering your name."
▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION |
Type-Red — Pure Energy Manipulation
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Typically, the normal human cannot see the strands of pure energy that’s around them. It’s practically invisible to them, but to Ava, she can see it all. The different colors and make of it. She can draw it in from non-living organisms - basically, her surroundings fuel her power. In addition to that, her own natural, pure energy is at her disposal. With the amount of time she has had to hone it and get a grasp of her own abilities, Ava has been able to bring herself to nearly master a couple of core techniques, though the same practice of the generation and manipulation of the energy around her is the core of everything. As it stands, there are three main abilities in which she has been able to master almost to the point of completion and second-nature use. The first of Ava’s learned techniques came rather simple to her. She first learned how to store and release the gathered energy into a condensed, often medium in size, blast. In the beginning, it was the size of a baseball, but her control and growth soon evolved each individual blast to the size of a basketball, though this is not the limit to this particular application of her offensive capabilities. She has evolved it into several other forms of offense including a two-handed blastwave, which is to say she extends both hands and unleashes a semi-wide wave of her own energy at a target (whatever or whoever that may be). Other forms include various forms of thin and thick beams and blasts that are used with either one or two hands (two provide more powerful concussive force while one hand provide a more consecutive usage of said method). Each individual blast/ray, depending on the overall energy output, it can either feel like a cat clawing at your skin for few seconds or a punch that momentarily halts your movement. Ava's second ability is one of a defensive sort. She's able to manipulate the energy in and around her to lace her entire outer body in a layer of energy that exhibits defensive capabilities. To the ordinary eye, it appears as though Ava glows with a golden light, but it’s clear there’s more to just that. It protects her from most of whatever shallow damage she may take. The last and youngest of her abilities (as of last year) is the ability to create a portable platform the size of a surfboard of pure energy that grows from the soles of her shows and sticks to Ava like glue. She can use it to gain distance and she can travel at speeds around 5mph. It’s useful if she’s in a bind and needs to get somewhere quickly. It’s also useful if she needs to catch someone in a hurry.
▼ | LIMITS |
Ava’s main limit is the inability to use all three of her abilities at the same time. It may vary case to case, her physical well-being, and energy reserves, but if it's a good day, Ava can use two at the same time with, though the strength of both will be weakened to about 60% of overall power. Control is what she lacks and full control of her Energy Aura, Energy Attacks, and Energy Surfboard is out of her hands. She is more likely to be successful using the shield and energy attacks in unison rather than including the surfboard into the mix. Being the youngest discovery of her known abilities, she lacks the necessary control over it (despite her loving the hell out of it). Ava’s stubbornness plays a part. When she refuses to ease up on how much energy output she can achieve, she could actually endanger herself by not realizing her limits. Ava can continuously use her energy attacks if she sticks to the bare minimum. For example, she can unleash multiple barrages of single-hand blasts, but if she were to produce more than three two-handed waves consecutively, she would tire herself quicker than she may realize with a recharge time of over a minute, not to mention that overexertion is not the wisest thing in her playbook. Concentration is also a factor that contributes to Ava’s lack of control. This is key to anything related to her power because her nature is to go with the flow. When she does that, her power control suffers because she doesn’t concentrate. As far as how long Ava’s Energy Aura can stay active, it can range anywhere from thirty seconds to three minutes. Damage intake is crucial to it remaining active. Take no damage at all and it’s like the aura is a second skin, but take too much damage, and Ava won’t remember activating it in the first place. Concentration is kind of a key element for this one as well. Basically, Ava needs to remain focused on the battlefield if she is to stay alive. Unfortunately, there's always the chance that AVa will think she can do one thing without realizing the aura will deplete itself in the process. Simply put, if Ava loses focus or goes too fast, her surfboard could delete itself. Five miles per hour is her max speed. Any faster and she runs the risk of overexertion. The surfboard itself has only ever remained active for a max of 2 minutes. She can only use it in quick bursts, but sometimes the feeling of flying through the air escapes Ava’s mind.
▼ | WEAKNESSES |
Ava actually can’t create her own energy. Everything that she is capable of from the bursts of concentrated blasts to her aura and surfboard, it is all manipulated from either the inner energy she contains (which isn’t a lot a lot, but enough) or that which surrounds her within a 9-foot distance. There is also the matter of Ava’s offensive abilities are heavily reliant on her physical endurance and stamina. While true she can last longer than most, the things she does with her abilities draws from that too. She can’t fight crime or manipulate energy if she’s unconscious. And do not be mistaken, Ava will lose consciousness due to overexertion, which happens if she maintains a consecutive usage of her abilities past from the established limits placed on her as it is. When it comes to ability-specific weakness, when Ava uses her blasts, waves, and rays, though she may hit her target dead-on, she is not without damage. Gathering that much energy generates heat almost to the point where it could affect the non-elemental nature of her energy attacks. Additionally, the heat may overwhelm her, causing an impairment of her focus, line of sight, and cause her to miss her target altogether. It could also overwhelm her to the point where it may literally backfire and she implodes the energy within her, causing a form fo recoil when she does any sort of burst (larger ones being more substantial). She also is subject to have her equilibrium disrupted. Little blasts shake her somewhat, but the larger ones she's capable of have the potential to stop her momentarily or, at the very worst, knock her flat on her ass, even disorient her for a few moments. Her armor can withstand damage and protect her from most of it, but the physical impact can still be felt, draining her of not only the remaining energy required to keep it active but the more physical impact she will endure, the less power everything Ava does until a recharge will have. And the more damage she does take will likely increase her chances of prolonged fatigue. There's also the aspect of heat. The longer Ava keeps it active, the more heat that will be gathered up (basically energy gathered creates heat). and when heat is centered around her body for so long - especially after having taken damage - Ava will get hot. When she gets hot, she gets dizzy and the dizziness will dramatically weaken her defensives and awareness. It will impair her to the point where the usual impact protection won't seem as protected. For example, the gunshots she'd usually be able to reduce to that of a slight punch will seem more like a gut punch that threw her for a loop. Unstable and unpredictable is the nature of Ava's surfboard/energy surfing ability. As a result, the risks of heat and unpredictability is her kryptonite. If with her more developed abilities gives her more time to adjust to the heat, then just think what her underdeveloped one has in that regard. After twenty seconds of continued use, Ava's feet will begin to feel like she's walking on hot rocks. Every second after will only increase the pain until she may not be able to bear it any longer, or she passes out. REally, it just depends on whether or not she disengages before she passes out. Anything past the two minutes will seem like unbearable pain for Ava. Her mind will become so focused on the pain that her speed will dramatically decrease until she really isn't moving at all.
