Sometimes she responded in the way that he thought she would. And when that would happen, they’d find a nice, quiet place to really commemorate the situation with something very intimate. So Audrey couldn’t blame Alex for thinking this was one of those times. She sometimes said or did things in code. How was he supposed to know what she really meant? As he sat there, waiting for the light to turn red, he ran almost every word he said and played it back over and over again. He was hoping to figure out what exactly it was he said that made her so angry. He only suggested they have a quickie. Compared to other times he opened his mouth, the way she snapped at him paled in comparison. He honestly didn’t understand it and it was driving him almost as insane as Audrey was sounding. He wanted to know what was up, but he waited too long for that. The light turned green. He looked at Audrey’s face and as he did, his eyes went down a little south. She wasn’t kidding, he mused in a low murmur. It didn’t occur to him that people were behind him because, no more than a few seconds later, he heard honks from behind him. And Alexandros took off, pushing his foot on the accelerator and drove forward. She said she wanted to go to the hospital, then fine. If that would calm her tits down, then he’d happily take her there, but if she thought he was going to not say anything further, she clearly didn’t know him at all. Alexandros took a detour as he took one of the back roads to Beverly Hills General. It was a deceivingly quicker route that allowed him time to know exactly why she was acting the way that she was. “If you want an apology for wanting to please you, then you can forget it,” he stated to her, turning right without even stopping, causing both Alex and Audrey to whoosh to the side. “When you tugged at me back at the Ball, how was I supposed to know you wanted to go to the hospital? All you said was we needed to go.” and he kept talking, possibly digging himself deeper into his grave. “The least you could’ve done was specified what you wanted before misleading me. Is that so much to ask?”
