Shinji: thats a fair point, I suppose. My instincts tell me not to trust you. But, I'm going against them. For your sake. I belive in a fair and, wel, 'just' justice system. With that being said, Ive come up with an idea. There are a couple nobles that have proved their allegance to us in recent times. Mierno being one of them. We're good friends, now. However, we didnt start that way. It took a long time. He has since more than earned his spot among us.  I believe that you to are capable of doing good things, no, great things. However, as of this moment, I do not have a way to ensure you will cooperate, and not go AWOL on us.
