It is the only day that both Magnus and Alice had the day of. So it had always been of the utmost importance that the whole family ate breakfast together. The Wallenberg boy was shining with his absence at the dining room table. Max was spending his morning happily snoring away sprawled out on his bed. The young man had spent the homecoming night with his date, some literary chick named Beth Clemens. Max had been bored with the dance pretty quickly and had decided to take his date out to the beach instead. Max had literally no interest in his date when they announced the pairings, but he figured he would make the best of it. So when they had left for the beach he put his charm on the unsuspecting Beth. They spent the night together under the stars before returning home in the wee hours of the day. A loud guttural snore echoed through the room and out the doorway where Max’s little sister Astrid stood with a look of disgust on her face as she looked around at the state of the room. She bent down and gingerly picked up a gym bag and holding it at an arm's length before throwing it at the sleeping beauty. As the bag hit him Max shot up into a sitting position looking around groggily. “Hello?” he asked trying to get his eyes to focus. “Astrid?” “Wake up you ogre. Mom wants you downstairs in five.” She muttered in annoyed tone before turning on her heel. Max groaned as he stretched and rubbed his eyes trying to get the sleep out of them. He quickly got dressed and bound down towards the dining room where his family sat waiting for him. “Morning!” he greeted joyfully as he grabbed a piece of bacon and slumped down in his seat. His father chuckled and shook his head while his mother looked at him with a pursed smile. “You had fun last night a take it?” His mother asked. Max took racked his brain “I think so” he said as his face broke out in a huge smile. His sister rolled her eyes and sighed. “Judging by the trail of wet sand leading up to your room. Maybe a little too much fun.” Alice continued raising her eyebrows at her son awaiting his answer. “Uh… I think we ended the night at the beach! Probably.” Max laughed as he chewed his bacon. His father echoed Max laughter laying his hand on top of his wife's. “Come on honey. He’s young, let him have his fun.” he turned to his son with a wink, which Max returned. “So what are you doing today my boy?” he asked as they all dug into their breakfast. Max shrugged as he shoved his food into his mouth. “Probably head out to the gym” he said between his chews. After a post breakfast nap of 2 hours Max was ready to face the day heading out the door of his family’s villa. He hopped into his car and drove away without any actual plan. As he drove he jammed out to his favorite spotify list, looking for something to do. Soon enough he had driven as far as the Surf shack. Parking his car outside of the small restaurant he decided to get one of their amazing sandwiches. As he entered he was hit with the heavenly smell of fryer grease and coffee. Max took a deep breath and smiled at the other patrons. He recognized a lot of the people from school, he greeted them all as he made his way over to the counter. “What can i get ya?” the jolly waitress asked as he sat down on one of the bar stools. Max screwed up his face in thought as he decided. “I’ll go with the tuna melt this time thank you!” the young man exclaimed! As he was waiting a girl yelled something about a fight which sparked Max’s interest. But as he was about to move closer to know exactly what fight they were talking about, his sandwich arrived. When he had payed for his sandwich he headed back to his car and drove of again. This time he headed to his favorite spot. A small cliff looking out over the sea, a spot he always went to when he had time just to himself. The sound of wave crashing against the rocks and the sandwich made his hangover ebb away. He laid back on his elbows taking in the sun and the fresh air. Max grabbed his phone from his pocket. [sub]Hello devil boy, you alive? Where did you end up going last night? You disappeared after April dragged you out of the dance. Did she finally end it for good?[/sub] He sent his boy the text and laid his head on his bundled up sweatshirt closing his eyes and listening to the soft music emanating from his car.
