Edit: Could we possibly have a side quest or something where a secret remnant of Ayleids try to return to Cyrodiil and take over or something? And yes, I know the lore but it's within the realm of possibility, just like it is with the Dwemer and Snow Elves, for some Ayleids to have survived and found a way to continue their society and civilization in some way.
