The sudden brightness in the sleepy green eyes eventually nudged the girl awake, rubbing her off in all the wrong ways. Letting out a loud groan, Mari threw a lazy arm over her face and rolled over, hoping to establish herself in the center of her bed and continue sleeping. However, her movement was stopped short when she collided with a dense figure on the opposite side of the bed. Frowning, the brunette opened her eyes to find herself staring at the broad, tanned back of a male, still fast and deep asleep as confirmed by his deep snoring. And based by the messy, neck-long waves and the mole on his shoulder blade, there was no doubt in Mari’s mind that the guy sleeping beside her was Salem. The girl’s frown became more pronounced as she suddenly sat bolt upright, green eyes darting around the room. No matter how much she rubbed at them and frantically searched around hoping for a sign that this was all a dream, all she found was more evidence to suggest it wasn’t. As her mind slowly woke up, fragments of the past night slowly trickled into the young woman's memory, eventually coming together to piece the heated scene. A tingle washed over her as she remembered Salem’s hands all over her petite body, her skin on fire at their every contact. Her body had savored the young man's every touch, caress and kiss, engraving the moment in her memory forever. They had loved each other well into the night, until their bodies had finally given way, and they’d both drifted off into complete, sweet, and utterly blissful sleep. “Holy. Fucking. Shit.” Trying to be as quiet as possible as to not disturb her date, Marisol slowly slid off the bed and tiptoed to the bathroom. Doing the walk of shame was already going to be humiliating enough, so she figured the least she could do was try to wash away the hair spray, the slept-on makeup and the last night’s sins under a jet of warm water. Eyes shut, the brunette had just taken the small steps to stand directly under the steady stream when the glass door leading to the shower slid open. Letting out a surprised gasp, Mari’s eyes snapped open as she whipped around to find herself face to face with Salem himself. The two stared at each other in starstruck awe for a few seconds, both sets of eyes greedy and hungrily taking in the tempting sight in front of them. Finally, their bodies met halfway, and steam covered up the tiled room as Mari and Sal became prisoners to their own desire once again. To say that things after that were awkward was an understatement. While Mari requested an Uber and looked around the room for her scattered belongings, she and Salem faced the reality of the situation: they had gotten carried away in the heat of the moment and made a mistake. On his part, he had cheated on his beloved girlfriend Gwen, thus breaking the trust she had placed on him when they first began dating. On her part, Sol had done nothing to stop the events from unfolding, and had happily -and very willingly- participated in them, being well aware that Salem was a taken man. Although she didn’t say it out loud, Marisol was of the belief that the blame of the past night was not to be split halfway, but instead more of a 75% Salem, 25% her. In the green-eyed girl’s defense, he had been the one to kiss her first. Once he’d had that little meltdown of regret, she had tried to leave the danger zone, and he had been the one to pull her back straight into it. Still, there was no use in playing the blame game. The truth of the matter was that they had, without a shadow of a doubt, hooked up. Both Mari and Sal admitted it was wrong, and made a pinky promise to each other that, although it had hands down been the best night of their lives, they wouldn’t succumb into temptation again. The Uber Marisol had summoned arrived just as their conversation came into a close. Like the gentleman that he was, Salem escorted her all the way down to the front door, where he decided to seal their time together with one last passionate kiss before seeing her off. Head still spinning with both the raging hangover and the heated exchange, the short girl took the passenger seat of the vehicle and left the scene of the crime. At some point along the way, she sent out an SOS for Archer to meet her at their favorite spot. She knew he would be less than thrilled with the news, but she was still excited to confess all of her sins to her best friend.
