As they did that, Hector and Helena walked alone through a section of the administration building that led to a secret passageway. It was revealed to them as both of them had pushed one palm next to each other on a marble wall that had a beam of light quickly glow down the center of the wall both vertically and horizontally. It would soon divide into four, revealing a stairwell going down. The husband and wife duo soon found themselves nearly fifty stories below the campus and in a room lit brightly by monitors upon monitors that had every inch of Olympus Academy shown on some sort of surveillance system. About a dozen people, mixed of various races from human to something less than human, sat behind monitors of their own, surveying the bigger monitors. On the bigger monitors, there was everything seen: the residential buildings, the Ares Colosseum, the shops spread throughout, the forest and the lake. Every inch was accounted for. “Any changes?” Helena asked from beside her husband. “No changes, Mam. There has been no sighting of that strange shadow we saw last night. It’s almost as though it vanished without a trace,” Damos, the head of the security division of Olympus Academy said. He was the one who oversaw the day-to-day operations when Hector and Helena were away. “How can this be?” Hector asked, concerned. “It was a Level Ten warning and now it just disappeared? Level Tens don’t just do that.” “I agree it’s strange, but as far as The Eye can see, there hasn’t been anything since the disturbance last night.” Just as Hector was going to retort, Helena held her hand up. “What time?” “Pardon?” “What time did this disturbance occur?” “One sec.” Damos turned to one of the creatures who worked for him. After about half of a minute, it was brought on one of the larger monitors. A clip of a monster shaped unlike anything anyone in the room had seen in any of their hundreds of recorded logs of monsters from all Greek Mythology. As they watched the entirety of the clip, Helena was left disappointed as it seemed to glitch. The footage went white noise, a loud buzzing sound that was sensitive to any non-Godly ears was heard, causing the non-humans in the room to wince in pain. “Stop the clip!” Hector ordered. When it was stopped, it took a moment for all in the room to regain their composure. Once they did, the air in the room was, if nothing else, full of troubling thoughts. Something so dangerous was in Olympus Academy. “I don’t like this,” Hector mused, biting his thumb. “Nor do I,” Helena echoed her husband’s concern. “Keep us updated every hour, Damos.” Like she always had, Helena made the quick decision. “Also, Damos.” “Yes, Headmistress?” “Keep an eye on Mr. Relo. I suspect he’ll try something. That Son of Apollo is always trying to cause more trouble than he should. If there is any strange activity, do let Anastasia and Brandon know. I have a feeling they’ll know exactly what to do should the need for it come.” The coldness in her voice sent a shiver down everyone’s spine and she quickly walked away. “Come on, Hector!” And like a whipped pony, Hector followed. As they climbed the stairs, Hector still felt bothered by what they saw. “So, you’re not worried?” He asked. “Of course I’m worried,” she responded as if waiting for his question. “But I also know that we can’t show weakness. You, of all people, know weakness doesn’t sell confidence, especially since we are the ones the Gods of Olympus chose to protect this school and their children. If there is something out there that threatens them, we will crush any threat with such force, whoever dared send them our way won’t have the nerve to do it again.” Helena said all of that without waiting for any input from Hector. And as she said that, the two went about their daily business. Helena would head off to her office to handle paperwork. Meanwhile, Hector, knowing the Academy was in good hands with the barrier surrounding it and the staff that was tasked with protecting the children, went to his own office to sit on everything he learned, hoping it would all work itself out. “I just hope she’s right.”

    [sub]l o c a t i o n • Olympus Academy Campus // Forest i n t e r a c t i o n s • n o n e[/sub]

The day had gone by surprisingly fast and surprisingly for Vivian, she hadn’t even noticed. Usually, the Daughter of Apollo was on top of everything. She didn’t always have awareness of time, but she always knew when the sun was near sunset and, based off of how close the sun was behind the mountains she saw in the distance as she sat in the main courtyard, it was clear it was at least seven in the evening. How did this even happen to her? After getting settled in her apartment with Leo Sullivan who was, for all rights, a pleasant boy. She couldn’t believe when he told her he was only twenty-one. Gosh, if that’s what passed for twenty-one, then Vivian should update her eyes and the assumptions that came with them. Good golly, how could she be so rude to him. Hopefully, he didn’t think she was rude. But, after that, she decided to take a stroll by her lonesome - well, that is to say, she was supposed to be meeting a friend. The new girl named after Demeter’s daughter Persephone. She wanted to make sure she got settled in, but not even minutes after the meeting between the Experiment Club ended, she was pulled away by a gust of leaves. Really weird. She didn’t know what on Olympus happened, but the rumor was spreading that Demeter didn’t like that she was being partnered up with Damian Black, the Son of Nyx. Could be from fear or how he looked like a bad influence. Both were believable because he didn’t look like the type who wouldn’t be a bad influence. She could still remember how scary he was last year. “Best to stay away from that one,” she mused to herself, laying back on the grass. As she looked up, she could see birds flying by. That brought a smile to her face. Seeing birds in a group enjoying themselves. This was what she needed to end her day. It was the perfect end… ...But, of course, Vivian couldn’t get everything she wanted. Quite literally, a vibrating sound was felt on her stomach. It was her phone and she only received one text. It was from Dal, which wasn’t much since he texted her all the time. Sometimes it was to bug her, but mostly he sent annoying memes and gifs that were just the same memes but animated. This time, however, was a little different. Of course, he included some sort of meme, but there was something about it that was weird. When the sun falls, shadows consume, but it is by the clear where clarity is found. And as she thought what he meant, she received another text from him again.Party by the lake. Don’t rat. As she laid there, somewhat sitting up, Vivian contemplated if she wanted to go. She didn’t particularly care for his parties, not when she knew how wild they could get. On the other hand, she wasn’t doing anything and Vivian promised herself she would try and make new friends this year. It was bad enough her only friend was whisked away to god-knows-where. So, with the clothes on her back, Vivian went towards the forest where she would no doubt be in for a long evening. Hopefully, there would be fun along the way.

    [sub]l o c a t i o n • o l y m p u s a c a d e m y // n a i a d e s l a k e i n t e r a c t i o n s • e m m a [@Rockette][/sub]

Damien Black wasn’t happy in the slightest. The day wasn’t over and already he was considering blowing the entire year and getting his road trip on, but of course, that meant somehow incurring the wrath of his mother dearest. She wanted him here and he needed to be here for his sister. Despite everything in his gut that was trying to push him out of the doors, he stayed, but he still was pissed off. “Of all fucking things, I’m now the only loser who doesn’t have a roommate because that Goddess of Gardening decided to take away her poorly-named daughter away because why? Oh yeah, because she found out I was to be Percy’s first roommate.” Damien walked through the woods, his sister not far behind. And by ‘not far behind’, that meant trailing next to him as close as humanly possible. He didn’t mind it, or rather he wasn’t aware of the fact he minded because he was so blinded by his growing rage. He kept ranting on and on just a bit more until they reached the lake. How this happened was beyond him, but he welcomed the seclusion. Anything to distract him from what happened today and the embarrassment he felt not having his own roommate. Even after nearly twenty minutes, he wasn’t any less unhappy. It frustrated him to be completely honest. He actually thought this year would be different, but the more he thought about it, everyone works against the Nyx Children. Whether it's being afraid of Emma or justifiably being afraid of Damien’s anger, things never really changed. As he took a seat close by it, Damien sighed out a big one. “Just watch. Soon enough the staff will want to put me on probation, thinking I somehow threatened that Neotera girl because I’m just so bad.” Damien looked over at Emma, noticing how quiet she has been the entire time. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to lay all of that on you. You probably didn’t want to be forced to hear all my troubles. At least you have the pleasure of having a roommate, even if it is that bothersome Aiden.” He apologized, calming down just a bit. Whether it was the sight of Emma beside him or the soothing nature of the lake, Damien was starting to lose just small fractions of his anger as he heard the sounds of the water and the wind brushing the leaves gently. Nature really was peaceful.
