With the light streaming onto her face, she at first had mistaken it for someone from back home coming to wake her up. He was always rather punctual. Instead, as she pushed herself slowly up off of the ground, yawning and squinting, she remembered in an instant everything that had happened the day before. However, the smell of vomit reached her senses and Gene plugged her nose. "Wow, for a proper British lady and all, your puke smells nasty," Gene quipped. "Guess we aren't so different after all." Lauren seemed to have the compassionate aspect of this down, asking Vera if she needed anything. Gene, however, couldn't help but think it would be a good idea to get a preemptive strike done on airing out the room. In her experience, vomit scent tended to linger and even though the damned sun's rays were able to get in to wake her up, that smell had nowhere to go. "Let's open a window or somethin' if we can - air out the place a bit," Gene suggested. "Fresh air might do her some good too." She then walked over to the door, intending on opening it and catching a whiff of fresh air - and to see if she could flag someone down to bring Vera some food that would be easy on her stomach. Instead, she found her brother. "Oh, hello Georgie. Your special friend is having an excellent start to her day already."

Nora Kingston

Location: Elite Deck - Nora's Rooms --> Outside Lauren's Rooms Skills: N/A
Nora had woken before the sun rose - she figured perhaps it was nerves or worry that was preventing her from getting a proper night's sleep. Ordinarily, she would have gone to find Spot and sit down next to her dog, scratching away in her journal until morning's light. Even though she had tried to fall back asleep on the boat, sleep eluded her - primarily because of the absence of dreams. It was freeing, not to have a premonition visit her in her sleep... but after having spent so long with those dreams, night after night, she felt almost hollow to have not have had one. She had become accustomed to them - they were her normal. She had spent some time getting dressed and ready for the day, and then she simply sat in quiet contemplation until sunrise. Figuring that it was now a decent and acceptable time to get breakfast - she was starving - Nora gathered what she needed for the day, ensuring she had her ticket on her, and she locked her rooms behind her before heading down the hallway towards Lauren's rooms. She wanted to see if the other girls were up and would like to join her for breakfast - eating alone was never quite as fun as having company, she had realized. "Oh, good morning," Nora said softly, surprised to see George in the hallway outside of Lauren's rooms.
